I just received an email from Blake with my tracking numbers for my 232 order. They should be here tomorrow if we have no holdups in customs. We are finally going to get something new from them and I am very excited about these sets.

I'm expecting mine tomorrow too if they don't go the way of my King & Country order. This makes day 3 of customs hold for the new WSs.
Patience!

I got lucky on this order Shannon and got my WS and ambulances today. I usually get stuck with the 3 days in customs deal.

Argh! I've been scooped!
I've never had a K&C shipment stuck in customs "until K&C tell customs EXACTLY how many figure sets and EXACTLY how many vehicles" are in the shipment. Why don't they ask me? I have a copy of the invoice. Maybe I'll just drive up to Alaska and...

Sorry Blake, I missed out on seeing the new 232's today, your delivery guy didn't get them to George in time for his trip to my house, they were waiting for him when he got back. He called and said they look awesome so I had him put a desert and a winter version aside for the next trip.:D
Looking forward to seeing them in person.

Fred

I got my Desert 232 today - the vehicle is awesome - far better than my K&C 231 version from a couple of years ago with regards to detail and paintwork. The figure is a little skinny for my liking compared to K&C figures now but the vehicle does not rely on the figure or vice a versa. So now have vehicle proudly displayed giving covering fire to my K&C DAK figures, if only I could figure how to post photos I would put some on the forum! Its definitely a worthwhile addition to anybodys collection.
Best regards Red

I agree, the NMA 232's do look impressive and would fit well with the K & C figures, while the NMA thin man can be 'retired' to the box :)

That said, the four Waffen SS figures with the 8cm mortar, or is that granatwerfer, look fine and I can see that set being a popular release with only 300 being made.

Yes Oz I have retired 'thin man' to box but I can tell you that the figures I saw at the London show for the STURMTIGER were exactly same proportion as King and Country and quality of paint as good. I think UK Bod said he thought they were K&C? Thats exactly what I thought because there is no way you could tell them apart. It looks like on their 3rd release they finally got it right, lets hope they can keep it up from now on!
Blake emailed me yesterday to say Sturmtiger is going to be here in 3 weeks or so which is great news as I'm getting all 3 versions!:) This will make me happy but not sure about my wife?!
Does anybody know what comes after the Paras as not heard anything - Can Torcida get one of his spies in there again?!
Regards Red

As I said below the Waffen SS figures with the Mortar look ok in the pic. As for those other similarities you mentioned, maybe the same Chinese factory produced figures for both NMA and K & C - frankly it wouldn't surprise me :)

Hey Guys,

I know I'm late with this news but I just received my 232 in DAK colors from Treefrog today and it's a thing of beauty.

My only comment concerning these vehicles is that I wish that the crewman accompanying them would not be in the same uniform for all three versions. :( The least that could have been done was to vary the color of his shirt and pants to match the theme (summer, winter, AK), otherwise, I agree with Carlos; the vehicles are very well done.:)

Hey, maybe that guy got around and saw action on all three fronts but just didn't feel like changin' his unifrom:eek:

I think that NMA did it that way 'cause of the long delay between the annoucement of this product and his release.

Just recieved my Desert 232, looks great! However I'm seriously disappointed with the crew figure, especially after seeing the mortar crew figs.
Really don't understand the discrepency in quality.

I think that that figure was made long before the mortar set. Accordingly, it is not a discrepency in quality (mortar figures vs crew figure) but an increase of quality (crew figure vs mortar figures).

You maybe correct but I'm still suprised you would comprimise the quality of only your second item with a figure thats basically a throw away.
