Thought i would throw a few figures on my table and se what they would look like.
Its hard to get in some painting time these days but i aint complaining...Anyway have done lots more French Cav and infantry but have to base them.
And i find that job a chore so will try and get some more shots done later!...after they are done.
First time i have glued a gun & crew on the same base {i like the way Harold did his} its a bit tricky getting that flock under/around the gun but should get easier as i work on more Guns & Crews.
I dont wargame but like the advantage of muilti basing especially the Artillery as it keeps the Guns & crews together and quicker to set up too!

I used to think that these were impossible - but I've just had a long look at George's 20mm diorama! These are just "difficult" now.:D

Nice painting again Ragnar - wish my old "mince pies" were good enough - they certainly look good. jb

Mr Ragnar
Your square looks great.
What brand of figures did you use ?

Hey thanks guys,The British are all Foundry metal castings..the French Cavalry are Perry plastic.
The artillery are Perry metal castings.....Perrys are the best for price though!

great painting, are those metal or plastic and who makes them?

Thanks HAWKEYE,
British are all metals made by FOUNDRY,the French cav are Perry plastics and the French artillery is metal also made by Perry.

thanks alot ragnar, toy soldier collecting is getting expensive, less room and i used to paint 20mm wwii, eyes are older so i am thinking of going into 28mm

Phenomenal range of stuff in 28mm now and the quality is superb - the Perry twins are legendary in the scale and the whole idea of choice of heads and arms in this scale allows for so much more diversity and personalisation. The painting is great here - you've done them proud.

Cheers Fitz,
Front Rank British 9-pounder and crew....Nice castings!

On Monday, I began painting 28mm, WW2 figures.
They are multipose.

So many 28mm hard plastics being made its hard to keep track!.....and so many time periods you can even get Samurai Cavalry now.
What did you get Denver?..There's Bolt Action and Wargames Factory that both do WW2.
Im thinking of doing some WW2 also plenty of 1/56 scale tanks are popping up now.
Post some pics when you get a chance!

Hey Ragnar
Wargames Factory had a 25% discount sale, so I bought some from them.
Then, Warlord had a 20% discount sale and free shipping.
I ordered some from them, but they have not arrived.

I am painting them on the sprue.

I will post pictures.

I am waiting for plastic vehicles.

Your figures look excellent.

I do 28mm also.
I have painted FIW, and working on WWII. For WWII I like Artizan and Crusader. And Black Tree for Partisans. For ACW I like Perry, Sash and Saber and Old Glory 2nd Ed.
