Thank you K&C for the Zhao Yun figure just announced in the May Dispatches ... the figure looks great as fans of Zilong expect him to look. Reference is made to the Five Tiger Generals of Shu. Wiki has this to add ..

The "Five Tiger Generals" refer to five generals from the state of Shu Han. Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Zhao Yun, Ma Chao and Huang Zhong in the historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms (Sanguo Yanyi), which romanticises the events before and during the Three Kingdoms period, the Shu emperor Liu Bei actually bestowed the titles of "Five Tiger Generals" on these five generals.

Ma Chao was from Maoling County located northeast of present-day Xingping, Shaanxi. He was descended from Ma Yuan, a general who lived in the early Eastern Han dynasty and from among the Qiang tribes in the northern region in Liang Province (covering parts of present-day Shaanxi and Gansu) which towards the end of the Eastern Han dynasty were reluctant to submit to Han rule.

In 221, Liu Bei declared himself emperor and established the state of Shu Han. He appointed Ma Chao as General of Agile Cavalr and Governor of Liang Province.

In media, Ma Chao is frequently depicted as a cavalry general and sporting fur lined garments or cloaks associated with the Northern tribes. A typical visualization is below ..

Huang Zhong, courtesy name Hansheng, was a military general serving under the warlord Liu Bei in the late Eastern Han dynasty. He is best known for his victory at the Battle of Mount Dingjun in 219, in which his force routed that of an enemy general, Xiahou Yuan, who was killed in action during the raid.

Huang Zhong is portrayed in the 14th-century historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms and popular culture as an elderly general with youthful vigour and constitution, and as one of the Five Tiger Generals under Liu Bei. Frequently depicted as an archer...
