I search the world thru the net about flats, naturally ebay , mostly european sites really runs the gamit of whats out there and it's in demand, big prices breing paid for some older and unusual themed sets...

Magnot seems to always be expensive, due to rarity I believe, here's a set of roman fort or boarder with personel, just went for $336





here is a set from the prussian siege of paris 1870, went for $492





This next set is Vikings plundering $287





This one is of american Indians, europeans seem to have a real fixation on native americans $822



how about the Mexican war ofIndependence from france 1863 $822





and Balaklava 1854 $914 plus postage on all these



and an English encampment 1860 $765





As you can see really none of these sets have particularly great paint jobs or castings but they certainly are in demand!

Hi MN,
These sets I show here are dated from the 1880's to mid 1920's in most cases and are extremely rare, almost never seen. Older sets have small vignettes in them that you don't seem to much in newer sets, more homogenized in the newer stuff. I know it seems nearly every subject on God's green earth are covered in flats, if these subjects are of interest to you or greek subjects in general, I can do some searching and inquiries for similar subjects for you. PM me with what you'd be interested in and I'll see what I can find.

This is what you call the good s__t!! The individual figures are painted by a fine gentleman I recently met he has a beautiful style and the multiple figure pics and from one of the Masters of the art of the Flat, Douchkine these are Mignot figures of the Polish hero Sobieski who led the Polish forces and the winged Hussars to Victory over the Turks to end the Siege of Vienna and stop the Muslim attempt to conquer Europe.
