Painted up this 14th-century German over the last few days. It's from Tin Warriors and features great detail. They've got an extensive line and are well priced. Most of the figures are from the Middle Ages, but they are starting to produce modern stuff and have several Napoleonics as well.

Looks a lot as EK casting and like almost all Russian or Ukrainian stuff are copies some straight, some pose altered, some mixed pieces from different figure, typical for the region : shields are embossed, original producers leave the shields flat so you can reproducce what you want .
Perfect to paint them as you do as "Toy Soldier"
Usualy cheap stuff, in this field, is synonim with piracy .

Also, they cast in white metal, while many of the original kits are resin. That's another way to tell, if you spot a figure that you want, and you've been looking for the kit.

Prost!

Thanks for the info - I'm new to the period and haven't worked a lot with metal figs, so I know next to nothing about who's producing what.
