57th Ligne Jingling Johnnie (1 Viewer)

I got this piece from EK. When I checked my references, the closest resemblance to this piece was either the 57th or 67th Ligne regiments. Both had Hungarian style knots on their hips. Hence I scrapped off the moulded trefoil knots and will paint in the new Hungarian style knots freehand.

Hello John,

Some minor progress on the piece. dark blue and chrome yellow oils. Gilt paint was added to the Jingling Johnnie.

It took a while to get back to this piece. I finally undercoated most of it in oils, awaiting final touch up to the cuffs and red Hungarian knots.

Final painting of the piece. I added details, shading and highlights. It turned out much better than I had expected. I will add a plume to the jingling johnny later.
