Hi all, I think I'm getting the hang of my air brush, I recently bought this Collectors Showcase 88, (thanks Ray!!) I wanted it to go into a winter setting so had to find a lighter grey for the under coating (used Panzer Grey) about 2 coats worth, then applied a light spray of white then while the white was still wet I added some fake snow to stick to the gun then another light coat of white again, I really like it, it still needs some small detailing (kill rings, battle damage) but over all fits in very well with my winter diorama...Sammy

Sammy,

I think that the gun would need a blowtorch to make it operational !!!!

Looks good, just what I'd image snow looks like in the middle of a Russian Winter ... something that defeated Napoleon and Hitler :)

Well done,

John

Looks good mate but being the owner of 1 it won't go with the FL troops way way to big.

Nice work Sam, you'll have a realistic looking 88 when you finish.

Side by side comparison Butch, the 88 and the First Legion German shown in my pics here match up pretty close, one does not stand out as being to small or the gun being to big, my opinion of course, once I finish the weathering and some other detail I'll post the finished set...Sammy

but still a great repaint mate and well done on having a go :salute::

Well Butch, maybe your guys are to big more then mine are to small ^&grin^&grin but once I finish the weathering and small detail stuff I'll post some closer side by side shots but we will have to agree to disagree as my fine figure looks right at home next to this 88 of course in my own opinion as another once famous member use to say :)...Sammy

Looks much better than when I had it Sammy! look forward to completion.
Ray
