Well its May 28th and I still havent seen the 88 released yet. Anyone know if its delayed due to the earthquakes they had in China?

What 88 are you referring to? If it's WS 103, the one mounted on the back of the halftrack, it is now available from your K & C dealer of choice........

Yeah, I pre-ordered it on May 3rd haven't seen it on their website yet and haven't received a e-mail????

The shipment that I believe has them in it is now hanging out overnight in Tennessee...perhaps the Fedex workers there are enjoying them!

We expect shipment tomorrow.

Many people including myself were predicting or at least hoping that at an 88 would be released this year. Do you think the release of this vehicle-mounted 88 will mean no "regular" 88 for 2008?:( That's my guess. Here's hoping for 2009.

Good can't wait to see it! Looks like a great piece....I pre-ordered it because I thought I heard that only 700 were being made and I wanted to get it before they were all gone. Do you know if that is true?

Andy said there was "planned" production of 750 and later explained that if there were interest he might make more.

Mine arrived today, will be delivering several at the two shows I'm attending this weekend, the rest go out via UPS to customers tomorrow. Will have a couple left over, that's it, pretty amazing turnaround for one item, K & C does it again...........

I'm with you on this one.....an 88 flak gun with crew in a grounded position loading and firing and I would be on board........vehicle-mounted?? I will pass " limited" not withstanding........

I have my UPS tracking number from George. My 88 is on the truck and out for delivery. Should get it sometime this afternoon about 4 pm, if UPS can find my house. They have a nasty habit of delivering my packages to almost everyone in town but me. Thank goodness for tracking numbers and knowing the UPS supervisor.

Duh, I got confussed again. It's not the confussion that's the problem, it's the reality, now that's the real problem.

The Sherman will be here today (along with the Figarti 155 and Mk IV). The 88 is in the system and will be here early next week.

I'm with you Kurt:

Okay, okay, okay, I know this isn't like collecting a FOV or 21st Century Flak 88 standalone "die-cast" gun but man, wouldn't it be nice to have one of these babies that rotate 360 degrees and elevates up and down. Not to mention with removal trailers hitches. Think of the possibilities of having different camo patterns and artillery teams depending on the weather and theater.

One can only dream of having them.

Had my first look at WS 103 today; outstanding, it is a work of art IMO. The figures are awesome, Andy has outdone himself with this monster. Also, the Big Red One figures are superb, K & C has taken their figure sculpting and painting to yet another level.

Cannot wait to see the reaction from customers at the Annandale and Saddlebrook shows.................

Thats good to hear can't wait to get my hands on it. I heard alot of people saying they were disappointed with the Sherman so I was a little concerned. When I looked at the pictures of the 88 it really looked like a quality piece that shouldn't be passed on.

Ok I have seen it at the shop. I took it off the shelf stuck it on the counter moved the guys around (which are very nice) fiddled, poked, and prodded. Stared at it and I am on the fence on this one. It maybe limited to 750 pieces. This we will have to see. As I mentioned the figures are really nice especially the officer and the two loaders. The piece it self well I like the gun. The chasis is sad. Poorly, sloppily painted lacking the crispness that the newest Panzer has. Tread detail is good without all the mud and junk. The weathering is not bad but for the money. I am not sure. This is my opinion only. It lacks something. There are better K&C Tanks for me to get. That I will be doing along with some others as well. Found a NMA Sturmtiger in Winter!

I just got my 88, and I like it. And I got 20% off with a discount coupon I got from the HB, thanks Matt. :) The discount made up my mind in me going ahead with the purchase ;)

The Gunner is glued to his seat. The wheels turn and do not steer.

Of course the figures are great.

I'm new to K&C items and I can't say, as KV does, if the paint isn't that great. It works for me.

But if it stays with just 750 made, it's worth it for the price.

I know were your coming from Count Man,

You just gave your honest opinion, which I respect. ;)

It does seam that there moving pretty quick though.

Look how fast Warrior moved the 60 he got

And I glad others here changed my mind about canceling out my pre-order :)

But now that just means I'll have to build the new Wehrmacht Figure Series around this 88, so just what did they talk me into here  :)

I do not think any one will be swayed by my lack of enthusiasm. :D
