I'd like to post my appreciation to Howard and his wife. Howard helped me obtain a rare Trophy Raj and Indian Army Elephant that I had been interested in for a long time that was being sold by Garrison's in Australia. Howard, on my behalf, contacted Garrison's several times and arranged to have it shipped to his house and then he and his wife brought it over to the United States, which I picked up on Thursday.

Howard and his wife went out his way to help me get this and I just want everyone to know what a good mate he is and how appreciative I am.

For those who may be interested, here are some photos of the piece, http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/forum/showthread.php?13084-Latest-additions&p=579478#post579478

This does not surprise me at all. Anyone that has meet Howard in person knows what a great person he is. Chris.

I have meet Howard in person once at the Brissy get-together and that was enough know that he is a 'top bloke' even if he is a Victorian.....:wink2:
Wayne.

I'm trying to figure out if Jack is in the some, most or anyone camp. Hmmmm

Don't forget he is a Essendon supporter........................:wink2:

A spectacular piece, Brad. And all the more enjoyable for the method in which it was acquired. ^&cool -- Al

I'm in the anyone camp right up to the point he uses the word 'cobber'. Howard - the fifties called - they want their word back! That said, my wife found him very charming and friendly and she has a very high pass mark when it comes to men!

Al,

Well said. When I read of nice stories like this one, I am heartened by the friendships and goodwill that our hobby fosters.

Raymond. :)

Jack,
When the fifties called you forgot to mention the real reason they called you. As we all know it must have been to get their velvet jacket back{sm4}.

Brad,
Anybody who has met Howard knows what a gentleman he is and always happy to help others.

Howard,
Enjoy the trip to UK. As you must know all we are interested in down here is the real truth behind the Treefroggers previous antics with the barmaid and confirmation of the rumour this was the real cause of the change of venue {sm4}

Brad mate,
Many thanks. It was my pleasure to assist a "cobber"". Just had to throw that in for my best "buddy" Jack. I something think that I do not know which gives me the greater pleasure. Collecting TS, meeting TS collectors or helping TS collectors with sets they are looking for. This is truly a fantastic hobby and the Texas TS show and my New York visit have only reinforced this to me.
Cheers from chilly London, Howard

PS Found some nice Matildas in NY.^&grin^&grin
