Nice job Dave!^&cool That figure walking with his arms by his sides looks like a nice figure to chop up for conversions. I,ll pick up a few of these guys when they show up around here. Lets hope ACTA releases a few more Nap sets???

Hi Fish

yes his head and arms can be moved with plier grips to create different postures. The other two loading and bayoneting can be animated to a lesser extent and the firing rifle pose is best left as is. Really would like the other 4 poses originally sculpted but who knows when?

They fit in ok with the old Airfix figures and the 3 x 95th Riflemen made by Replicants. Any new releases are welcome and it would be great to see hat industrie make some British & American soldiers from 1812/Napoleonic era.

My next box of 16 are destined to be re-modelled as Portugese Cacadores 1812-14 Peninsular War. I have read that there were 12 battalions with lots of different facing colours to the brown jacket - combinations of red,light blue,yellow,black. The uniforms were mostly supplied by the British hence the similar cut and style and the use of the stovepipe and the Baker rifle with the sharpshooter companies.

Bill Farmers webpage seems to have disappeared - cant find it - there was a link from the Plastic Soldier Review webs I still enjoy Bills work as it is full of action and great for conversions.

Shame that Bill had three fingers missing from his right hand, was short sighted and had arthritis in his thumbs.....

another variant for this set - depicted as the 6th Regt Portugese Cacadores 1812-1814 - brown uniform with yellow facings - one of the sharpshooter companies with Baker Rifles. I added the extra ammo pouch to their waist-belt area fashioned out of Greenstuff and given a buglehorn device .

The Portugese formed a large part of Wellingtons army during the Peninsular war.

You also have to add tailcoats to the figures tunics as Farmer forgot about them. You could always rely on him to make at least one big mistake

Hi - might try a few conversions into other Napoleonic soldiers - Hanoverian Field Jager Korps Waterloo 1815 - dark green jacket with light green facings , grey trousers , stovepipes and Bakers ok . Very versatile figures.
