As I only live one hour drive from the Chicago Toy Soldier 2021 show, I had hopes of finding a diorama to display some of my figures.

One room had numerous dioramas, and since my WW2 favorite is Operation Market Garden, I was excited to buy this Arnhem Church so I could display it with German's and British Para's. Marcus Thorsen from Thorsen Studios built this in foam from a WW2 Church in Arnhem.

I have it displayed on our Dining room table with flowers, plates and glasses surrounding it so my CAT does not attack it !!!

My Camera flash makes the orange on Building look too bright and I apologize or my poor camera skills.

I feel the trees are too green/new looking and I will try to weather them.

Churches are my favourite dio piece and this one is no exception. Great for MG series. Robin.

Great piece of modelling and really sets the figures off.

Thank you for looking and the comments.

My favorite dioramas are Church themes.

I plan to rotate the figures next month with British Paratroopers. Andy

Andy,

I agree....this is a very fine pick-up!!! What a beautiful piece.

Church dio's and Market Garden theme--you can't go wrong with that!!

Have fun with it as you rotate out the various figures and please post updated pics as you do.

Mark

Thanks for posting the pictures Andy; as you and I discussed, not a fan of the trees, they are out of scale and are too numerous/detract from the overall structure, which is extremely well done and can be used for multiple periods and set ups, it has a lot of flexibility.

This is just another example of an item you don't see anywhere but at a toy soldier show, you must be very pleased to have acquired it.

Great pick up andy, i was looking at that but i just don't have the room right now. Marcus does great work and i am glad michael brought that to the show
he still has a beautiful arnhem bridge for sale that marcus did also.
