Hi guy's I am wonderling is this a good model to get. I have not bought it before because I didn't like the look of it. Who has it and what can I put it with it if I get one. I love English tanks but think this one is butt ugly. I am thinking about getting one but how does it look in person. Can anyone help .Simmo.

If you mean the old K&C model, it is butt ugly. It's an old style model with painted, raised lettering and without the good track detail of recent models. It is likely 1:32 scale. And it is not often seen for sale so it is probably expensive.

However, it has character. If K&C made a new model to replace it, I would stick with the old one and only get a new one in a crocodile, fascine or petard version.

Its a great tank, so get it as you will love it. I was fortunate to buy two as I wanted to do dieppe type scene. Though having seen some recent pictures of sturmbannfuhrer kaiser using a knocked out one as his command post during the battle of kursk one may get the treatment to lend lease.

Either way its a unique vehicle and, for all the early mould issues well worth buying.

Definitely worth getting if you come across it Simmo,its a classic WW2 Allied Tank and should be represented in your collection,I'm not sure if you can call any Tank 'attractive' or not myself,but this baby got over its early problems and went on to be a mainstay of British armour.Well worth having Simmo and looks very good with the recent British figures released for D Day,all in all a very nice release from K&C.

I got it and I will be ptting it in my XXX Corps diorama, I quite like it, and the 'Churchill's Revenge' on the side is really good!

Simmo, I got this one when it first came out (one of my first K&C purchases) and really like it. I guess many might consider it a ugly looking tank, but like Rob said it was a mainstay of British armor, so an important tank of WWII. The track detail is of the old style, but since the Churchill's road wheels are small and a lot of the upper track area is covered, it's not that noticable on the model. I like mine and am very glad I decided to buy it years ago. I usually set it up with my 4 man "Tommy Patrol" set. I would think it's worth purchasing if you can find it for a reasonable price. Here are a few pictures.

If you can't find one you could compromise and get DD55 instead. That way you would still have a Churchill !!!

The crew look great in this one and it goes really well with the recent British armour like the Cromwell and Firefly.
I'd recommend you get this one if you get the chance.

Even a Sherman buff like me has one. I picked it up for a small scene and when I got it I was surprised. What the other guys haven't mentioned is that it is a great big chunk of pollystone tank! Compared to a Sherman she's a beast. It is so "British" that I had to have one!

They aren't negative comments - they are affectionate ones for a very ugly tank. Even the Germans had no idea what they were at Dieppe.

What I like about the Churchill that is a tangible evolution of the Tank,with its high tracks and long body its not a Million miles from its WW1 ancestor.

Brett would that be you who has one stuffed under your pillow. I have had no bloody luck with bidding on ebay as I got smashed on the last Two items I bidd on. But there is one on now for $129.00 and thinking about going for it. But if someone had one for $129.00 right now I would be very lucky indeed. Simmo. HINT HINT.

I just had a look and noted the one on Ebay (not too far from us !!! - a coincidence or what ?). That A$129 is a starting bid so who knows what it will go for. Mine will still be here if you do not win that one. See if he might take an offer as it will save him on fees. I am not in a particular rush to sell mine and my PM price still stands. I don't want to undercut another good customer !!!!
Put in a bid and you both might end up happy.
