Do we have any fans on the forum,or is it to rough for some.........;) no helmets or pads....:eek: here no rolling on the ground like you have been shot....:( like in other sports just straight out tough as nails man on man Aussie rules football.

Too rough for me....:rolleyes:

I prefer the soft, gentle, delicate and non brutal American style professional football...those 300+ pound lineman in pads and helmets that can bench over 500 pounds seem so much more genteel to me.

Wayne the Eagles don't have a chance.The Lions will go great this year with the new blokes they have.I follow the NRL most and Brisbane will be a 50/50 chance with all the young guys they have to use with loosing so many great players.I played Aussie rules for Six years and have my boy into Auskick.But like most Queenslanders we are maroon through and through.Simmo.
 
Oh that's a challenge if I have ever heard one.At the Gabba the Lions will roar but I am a bit concerned about if they have enough in the legs to get them through.I will bet you your Six pack on this AFL game if you take the Warriors against Brisbane in the NRL tomorrow.A dozen beers is a tempting bet my friend.Simmo.

I know i shouldn.t joke will our US cobbers they just dont get it sometimes sorry Mike wasn.t having a go at NFL just pumping up the game i love AFL.
 
Hi Wayne,

I have watched some of this game over the years and have to say its a tough looking sport. These guys can take a beating. As for the jokes about other sports No Worries some of us get them. Perhaps you guys could explain the rules of the game for me or maybe provide a link to a website where I can try and sort out the rules.

I used to watch that when it was on in the early days of ESPN. That is one tough sport. I used to get a kick out of how the refs are dressed and how they'd call a score.
 
I am one up with the Lions thumping the eagles and only now have to get Brisbane home today to win that dozen beers.Simmo.
