Not easily done, but while I am consolidating my collection, I decided to bring up this wonderful scenic set, a Fortified Village, for sale as well.
This complete lot was built by our fellow forum member Guy a.k.a. artmabigor, from whom I purchased it in the winter 2012/13

An absolute model making masterpiece, in design and execution.

I was thinking about taking it to the Chicago Show this year, and see if I can sell it there, but maybe there is a chance for a successful deal here.

The quality of Guy's work is hard to describe, because it is so very good.
Easily matching any work of the finest known diorama builders.

I took a lot of photos and they will all be coming up after this initial post.
Hope that the photos will work as a better description than any of my words.

Sale conditions will come up after the photos.
Hope you enjoy them, the photos that is ^&grin

Happy Collecting!

Konrad

Starting with overall views.

So far for the photos.
And now to the sale conditions.

Minimum price for the complete Fortified Village is $2000.00
I will leave this sale open for one week, until next Sunday 2:00 pm, when I will either announce it sold, or ........ keep it for myself and shut up :wink2:
So, anyone with a serious interest in this fine Village, send me your best offer (nothing below $2000.00) and the highest offer will be honored next Sunday.

Shipping will be by USPS Express Mail, insured, most likely in 3 large boxes, at the buyers expense.
I will deliver it personally within a 500 mile radius from Northern Kentucky for a gas fee of $100.00
I know it made it safely across the ocean in several deliveries, but I would feel better delivering it myself, instead of leaving it to the postal worker's mercy :wink2:

Minimum space requirement for the Village is at least 2' x 3', but actually you should have more space, of course, in front and to the left for any possible approaching troops.

Last but not least, there will be 4 JG Miniature Mats included, 2 of them cobblestone for the inside of the village, the other two sand/grass for the outside of the village.

That's it for now.

Happy Collecting!

Konrad

One more photo that I took recently with the First Legion SYW Prussian Infantry Regiment.
For a better idea of the scale.
Cheers!

Man Konrad that is a wonderful set up! Could be used in a number of ways and in a number of conflicts as well. Sorry to see you parting with it but I do wish you luck in the sale!

Dave

Konrad,

Its absolutely wonderful, one of the finest diorama buildings I've ever seen.^&cool^&cool^&cool^&cool If I had the money, and more importantly the space, I would love to have them, and wish you the best of luck with your sale.:smile2:

Guy...,,is one of The International Society of Battleground Artists Masters and Board Members.....His work is incredible.......I wish I could afford it....Good Luck....It has to hurt to part with that masterpiece.

Best
Alex

Thanks for your comment, Alex.

I know that you can recognize and appreciate a Master's work.
Guy's work has to be seen up close to appreciate the craftsmanship.

And as of parting with it .......... yes, it hurts :wink2:

Cheers!

Konrad

Collectors,

I want to give this one a "bump" once, before the weekend and the Sunday, 03/09/12 deadline of 2:00 PM approaches.
Sale conditions are described below.

Would be nice to see this scenic set in the hands of a collector who puts it to good use and shares the results with us.

Cheers!

Konrad

It did not sell.
So, it will stay with me, at least for a few more months to come.
I might bring it to the Chicago Show though in September.

At least I can tell the good old Lady, that I tried to sell it ^&grin :wink2:

Happy Collecting!

I know it is a lot of money, Mark, but then again it really is a stunning piece of work and a true "one of a kind".
While I do want to consolidate my collection, and have no problems of letting various things go, this one would have been very hard to part with.

No, I am not going to put this up on ebay.
If I am going to sell it after all, I will try that at the Chicago Show.
That way, anybody who might have an interest, can actually see it and examine it, before putting out any money.
I am going to decide that when the time comes.

Cheers!
Konrad

Konrad,

Maybe one of the dealers could put this in their rooms or you could sell it out of yours.

I am reducing the price for this village to $1,600.00.
Other conditions, like for shipping or delivery stay like described above.

Please go to the beginning of this thread for a good number of photos to see what this offer is for.

Happy Collecting!

Another offer here to fellow collectors, since I am not going to make it to the Chicago Show this year, to offer this item for sale.

$1000.00 is the price now + shipping/delivery costs as described previously.

Anyone interested, please contact me by pm.

Cheers!

Konrad
