A gathering of eagles… This diorama featuring the K&C German HE-162 Volksjäger model (LW057) and various pilots & ground crew was inspired by a 2018 K&C promo photo. The base, crates, and oil drums are Thomas Gunn products. The HE-162 has consistently been one of my favorite K&C planes.

Jazzeum, I purchase the frames I use in my dioramas from craft stores like Hobby Lobby or Michaels. I then cut the display base or terrain matting to fit within the frame. This setup uses an 11”x14” frame.

Really enjoy your dio, you and Duke are both inspirational. how do you display your collection? Do you have lots of these, same size, dios?

I too have the figures and the plane, one figure always sticks in my mind, the guy carrying the bomb, as he must have been the strongest man in the Luftwaffe to be able to carry that on his shoulder.

Thanks Barkmann! I’ve got a lot of these vignette dioramas throughout my house. I’ll often set one up, decide I really like it, and keep it around for a while. Others I keep for a few weeks then put them away and reuse the base for something else. The problem arises when I’ve got too many setups that I like and not enough space to display them all… Really, I need to find a better way to store/display some of them than my current arrangement, LOL
