A Good Bunch Of Guys (1 Viewer)

One thing I do have to say..my goal was to collect all the K&C Napoleonic line...I would have a hard time changing teams....Even in my book I'm really unsure if I want to pay anymore for the figures than I have in the past...I just CAN'T justify that one figure would take my whole family out for dinner or take them out for the day...I think reality is startig to set in that perhaps this hobby will be for the rich only...its not even a matter of being rich its when one says thats enough I draw the line.....these are toys for goodness sakes!!!!..

WELLINGTON

Wellington,

I have never been a part of any other forum, and wouldn't have known about or participated in this one if Shannon hadn't been kind enough to contact me and invite me. That being said, I wholeheartedly agree that this forum is made up of a great bunch of guys (and gals) and I am honored to consider my fellow treefroggers as friends. A lot of the guys have either come to the Symposium, come by my house at other times, or I have met them at shows. A better bunch would be hard to imagine. Thanks to you Wellington, for pointing this out, and to everyone else, for being such a friendly, funny, knowledgeable group of guys!

Wellington,

Thanks for starting this thread and particularly naming me. I appreciate that and hope that I have helped others as well. This is a great forum, made up of many people who have helped each other.

I just wanted to point out that I have been a member of this Forum for a couple of years now and have got to know some of you pretty good....Most times we all get along and we all support each other and if we have a difference of opinions we still respect each other.

...
Anyhow, I just wanted to tell my Treefrog Family that there is NO place like home, and I am VERY happy to have met you all, I don't get to shows very much so I haven't met very many of you in person but you are all friends never the less....
...
Thanks Treefrog for having this Forum and thank you Forum Members for being such a good bunch of guys!!!

Capital thread Wellington; I think these points cannot be overstated. I have participated in several different forums over the years and no question this one is one of the most civil and helpful. For my first experience, one of the members, Joesgis, went out of his way to visit a shop in his area to find a out of stock Conte set I was looking for and pass me the information. Now that was impressive and I try to return the favor to others whenever I can. Thank you indeed Treefrog. I look forward to all those EoE Roman purchases.;):D

I'd also like to echo these sentiments. * the vast majority of the people on this forum, 99.99999R%, are without a doubt the most pleasant and helpful individuals you could possibly hope to meet in cyberspace (and hopefully in person, in future).
So I'll take this opportunity to thank Mr & Mrs Reuss and their associates for providing me with the chance to make so many friends here and interact with all the others who make this such a vibrant and interesting forum.

Regards
H

Harry my friend, how are you?

What is the R%?

Best regards

Rod

I most certainly agree with Wellington's *****ment. Sometimes I get "interesting" behavior from dealers due to my relatively young age for this hobby, but thats rare compared to the number of dealers who are willing to share some knowledge of this hobby instead. And of course the members of this forum have been very helpful in my limited time thus far.

I'm doing pretty well Rod. Been in this dump for almost an entire week now and haven't really done a stroke of work yet. Have been frequenting the Hotel bar at every opportunity and sharing a good few laughs with the waitresses in the restaurant who remember me from my previous visit to this charming little tourist resort.

R% is a mathematical term that indicates a repeater, meaning the .9 goes on to infinity. For example, the number 3.142 (Phi) is a repeater. Try dividing 22 by 7. The iterations go on forever. In the real world, I'm referring to the fact that there are very, very, few members of this forum that I wouldn't enjoy having a pint and a blether with, enormously, should the chance ever arise.

Sorry for the lack of new dios or additions to my Flashman thread over the past several weeks. I've simply been far too busy with work-related issues and maintaining Domestic Celestial Harmony. I ought to escape from here around 28th July. Visit the UK for a few days, then get home for 2 or 3 weeks (depends on the volume emanating from our Bangkok office demanding my services back in Thailand). However, once I do get home for a few weeks, I've quite a few ideas for additions to all three of my threads in the diorama section.

Cheers Mate

I have to echo what others have said about this forum.Every single person I have had contact with as been honest and helpful in every way.I've seen other forums where this isn't the case.

Hello,
I just joined the forum. I have been collecting for a few years, but consider myself a novice. After reading many posts it appears to me that this is a very friendly and helpful forum.

Hopefully, I will get to meet some of the forum members this September at the Chicago Show.

Hello my friend thanks to the explanation, I am not very good with mathematics..

I hope you enjoy the waitress...:D

Talk to you later.

Rod.

I'm new to the forum. My first kc sets were Dd01 & Dd02. I've been reading the forum for about a year and I wonder if toy soldier collectors have a common personality trait that makes us, one, collect toy soldiers and two, makes us a good bunch of guys.
