Good evening folks!

I am new to this community, but I have been collecting ACW figures for years. Some years ago I bought my first St.petersburg figure, and since then this have been my prority. I have also started to collect other periods than the American Civil War, and in my search for good artists, I recently found a young artist from St.Petersburg, and I would like to share some pictures with you.
They are all 54mm.

Best regards: Mattis from Norway.

Isn't this painter Zernina/Olga (http://www.planetfigure.com/useralbums/figures-painted-by-me-lately.290/view)?

Paulo

Hi again!

The painter is Olga Zernina, and all figures are signed, and she has made a certificate of authenticity.
I will show you this later. For me it is essential that the figures are signed, I do no longer collect unsigned figures.

Best regards Mattis

What makes figures collectible?
I saw a message earlier, where one of the members said he liked to have a background, and a history to tell about his figure. I agree. I have figures beautifully painted, but they say made in China, others say nothing.
I like to identify, country of origin, sculptor maker, and painter.
This says it all.

Thanks for the info, I have an eye on her work too:rolleyes2:... I think you have an interesting perspective on collecting, the signature factor I mean. Thanks for sharing.

New figures from Russia

image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

These are some new figures that I have bought from Zernina.

The mini-diorama of JEB Stuart and Heros von Borcke is from El viejo Dragon. I first noticed this years ago, but just recently I found the kit for sale. I bought it, and spent some time convincing Olga to assemble and paint it.
It has been real fun to be part of the process, with details as color of horses, details on uniforms and other things. The final product is really beautiful. I will post more photos later.

Hi, there are a number of Russian figures without signature or certificates, but there figures speak for them selves, don't let the opportunity of obtaining great Russian painted items go by due to no certificate.
Enjoy the hobby, I have very large range from many Russian makers and they are all great and amazing art work.

Great figure, such a great painter. Beautiful photos, thank you.

Olga is truly amazing but doesn't do commission work. I know, I tried. She enjoys painting and creating without the expectations and pressure associated with individual's preferences. And I totally understand this. She sells some of her work on ebay. She is a brilliant, massive talent.

Hello everybody!

I have probably the largest collection of artworks made by Olga, and I would have been thrilled to share these with you.
However I have taken pictures, made txt and than not been able to upload.
I have said if some administrator, or someone else will give me an email address I can send the picture to, I will share some of these.
I think her work is really amazing.

Best wishes Mattis

Hi all!

This is my collection of Olga Zernina figures and busts, as you probably understand, she is my personal favorite painter.

I will start taking pictures tomorrow, and update this thread regularly with detailed pictures.

Hi all!

I will start with this one.
This is a 90mm "Landsknecht" by Pegaso Models, the wall is made by Olga.

I took thes close ups, because I think the facial expression on Olga's figures is outstanding.
