Hi Guys,

Last Friday evening K&C celebrated our 40[SUP]th[/SUP] Anniversary with a gathering of many of our leading collectors here in Hong Kong at our store in Pacific Place, one of Hong Kong’s finest shopping malls.

Among the display items of show was a very useful stretch of roadway that we used to present some of our most popular ‘VIETNAM figures.

Here’s a closer look at a few different set ups… Enjoy!

All the best,
Andy

Made to measure, this diorama piece certainly allows this series to showcase the figures to their maximum potential. A fantastic centrepiece for collectors to enjoy. Robin.

Some terrific looking combat and aftermath scenes using your new road diorama base Andy :salute::
The backdrop photo blow up looks great too.

Many thanks Robin & Steve for the appreciative comments…I originally designed this little stretch of road for our 40th Anniversary Shop Event last Friday night but look forward to using it with our USMC truck and the M48 when we get the production samples back from the factory.
Tomorrow, I’m off to Japan to visit the biggest Hobby Fair in The Land of the Rising Sun…Should be very inspirational and a lot of fun too! Looking forward to meeting some of our collectors as well.

All the best,
Andy.

Hello Andy,
Congratulations on your company's 40th Anniversary. As the sun is setting on the W. Britains Ltd Empire (with all due respect to Ken Olsen's valiant rear guard action), you have singularly revolutionized the "toy" soldier industry. The three elements being; Change in scale (1:32 to 1:30), Change in finish (Gloss to Matte) and Change in animation (Fixed stoic to Variety of action).

Congratulations to you Andy and the K&C Team. It's been so much fun for me since I began collecting K&C around 2006. Keep up the good work!

Andy mate,

I have only been on this Band Wagon for some 16 years but a very pleasing and enjoyable 16 years. Congrats on the 40th Anniversary Date and Party.:salute:: I look forward to congratulating you in person when you visit the Land of OZ in July this year.

Cheers from the Land Down Under, Howard

Andy,
Congratulations to you and the K&C Team on your 40th anniversary. You and your team have brought happiness to collectors worldwide - enabling collectors to reminisce and relive fond childhood memories of collecting and playing with toy soldiers. I am an avid fan and wish you and your team the best in your future endeavors. Please keep up the great work!

Over the past two years or so, in some of your company’s photos of various dioramas, a ubiquitous male Vietnamese figure wearing a black shirt, traditional Vietnamese hat, riding what appears to be an orange colored motorized bicycle/tricycle with basket on rear of bike has appeared. I’ve tried to determine what this figure is, when it was manufactured and more importantly how I may purchase one. Could you please share insights on this figure? For reference, the figure I am referring to is pictured most recently in the photo below, left hand side, behind the pink, yellow, and red Vespa girls. Thank you in advance and once again congratulations for a job/hobby well done!

Many thanks Richard and all of you guys who have been with us on this incredible journey over the years…

A major part of the enjoyment and pride I get from K&C is talking to and corresponding with literally thousands of our collectors around the world …throughout he year. Hearing their thoughts, listening to their suggestions and often times putting many of these ideas into production.

This interaction between collector and creator is, I believe, unrivalled I in the hobby, which is just one of the many reasons I enjoy this Treefrog Forum and take part in it on such a regular basis. A big Thankyou to Julie and Treefrog here!

Every morning I begin my day with a ‘look-see’ at the Forum… Always enjoyable…Always informative!
All the best Guys and greetings from Japan,
Andy.

Congrats Andy. You have given us so much pleasure. Love your store, visited in 1996 and 2019. Along with the food its my favourite thing in HK. Cant wait to visit again.

Happy anniversary K&C! I'm looking forward to what the future holds for the next 40 years of K&C's story.

Brendan
