All,

I have been out of pocket for a while...4 months to be exact...but uh, I am out of my haze and back to engage with you kind men and women of international regard and distinguishment. I had a liquid lunch today with a Patron laced Margarita that was oh so good and washed it down with a Modelo draft with some delicious enchiladas on the side. Anyway, went to lunch to celebrate with the wife to thank her for letting me take off 4 months of work to finish my Graduate Degree.

Anyway, beautiful day and by the time I came home I was feeling the burn of the Patron and decided to take a nap. Woke up about an hour ago and was just kind of in a haze surfing the net to no where and watching the sun set from my office window when...

Mike Miller called! Man, I quickly sobered up because you have to be on your game when Mike Miller calls. Its really weird but when MM calls I get an urge to crack open a cold one or mix up a drink and your face and lungs better be ready to start moving because after talking to him your going to laugh before, during and after his call. I love that guy and can't wait to see him this month! Anyway, we bullshitted for about 20 minutes or so and he brought me back to reality that the TTSS is right around the corner and I had better be ready! Then he told me ZB Lang from Bah-ston is coming in again, Nick, Julie too and that this years show is going to rock the city with some great speakers and new soldiers. I am so excited.

Well, I hope to see you guys here in San Antonio and I'll make sure the Texas State Militia isn't called when ZB Lang gets here.

John, congratulations on completing your graduate degree! That’s something to celebrate big time! Hope you all a wonderful time on the forthcoming show, and please, send us some pictures of the great weekend in San Antonio! And yes, keep those margaritas coming...{sm4}{sm4}:wink2:

Sentaapua,

Thanks brother...had a class that spent a lot of time on the subject of populism/elections in Latin America and more specifically Brazil. Can't wait to visit there someday!

Congrats, John. What did you major in? When I was studying for my Latin American Studies degree, there was a Professor named John W.F. Dulles from Texas who wrote a lot of great books about Brasilian history. I just looked him up and I see he died a few years ago. The ones I remember the most are Unrest in Brasil and a book about Getulio Vargas, who was President of Brasil from 1940-1945 and later came back as President but committed suicide in office.

Be sure to let me know when you’re coming. I’ll be honored to host you here! I live in Brasilia, Brazil’s capital.

John, it would never be a TTSS without ya mate! I'm sorry that I won't be there this year as I had such a blast with you, big Mike, Zach, Jules, the Kingsx crew and all the other collectors that I met at the show last year.

I hope to catch up in the future and if you decide to jump on big Mike's horse and head to the CTSS this year, then i'll see ya there!

True story:

When I first moved to Texas I was going to take my step-sons to the movies. My wife asked what time we were leaving and I responded with:

"W'all (pronounced "wall") are leaving at 5."

My wife asked what wall meant and I said it was Texan for "we all". She gave me this half disgusted and half amused look and then she burst out laughing.

you lose that Yankee accent...you might be able to speak Texican...^&grin

was talking to Larry Allen one day about his AWI diorama...
he must have had a dozen of the K&C carts on it...

I asked him..."How many carts he had?"

he replied...

"I got a dozen cots."

I said..."What?"

he said..."I got a dozen cots."

you guys don't even use the letter "r" in your alphabet?

Oh, we have it, it’ just gets placed in random places. People drive cahs, but drink soder

I might live here, but man, it drives me nuts!

Y'know Tom I believe this year has got to be the year I go to CTSS. I think I will fly to Houston, meet up with MM (bottle of Crown in hand) and pour into Chicago.

I'll keep you posted on my evil plan,

ZB, Texas is never ready for a New Englander...you guys just don't blend well with the accent and all. But, if you need me to pick you up at the Airport I will be there with for you with Pablo.

Pablo offers you his protection...
