New to the board don't know if this has been covered, and I hope this isn't considered tasteless. I would like very much for there to be a single release fallen casualty for every range and nationality from KC.

My Napoleonic scenes are greatly enhanced by several fallen (dead) grenadiers both French and English. I would like the same for my WWII scenes. Having to purchase a two figure set for just one of the figures is frustrating expensive and limiting. I understand marketing requirements but I do believe there is a market for these figures.

I have tried to make my own casualties with limited success and much angst...near panic at cutting up an expensive figure with limited modeling skills:eek:

When looking at new figures I start to eye them like Dr. Frankenstein..."man that’s a great torso I wonder if..."

Release more casualties PLEASE

Cheers

I dont think that its a tasteless request. Many other members have asked for such releases in the past. A few ask for certain nationalities to have fallen figures but its all in good fun :D

Welcome to the Forums.

I do not think this is a tasteless request, I think casualties add to the dioramas and should be made by the manufactures.

I do not find this request unreasonable. I need both German and American WW2 casualties for my scenes. Maybe some more French FOB casualties, too. -- lancer

In total agreement. I have several Civil War battle scenes, and casualties add tremendously to the dramatic effect of the setups. Sometimes even just one sprinkled in makes the whole scene so much more effective, but of course for something like Pickett's Charge I added a dozen or more already. I have a small K&C Amer. Revolution scene, and the one British soldier falling backwards from a shot to the chest makes it work so much more.

Welcome Major Tom.I think dead and wounded figures can add a lot to a scene myself. Some fallen figures in the Arnhem range from both sides would work so well with the JG buildings and would be most welcome. Some dead figures would also be really useful for the US D Day range, the wounded set from a few years back is absolutely superb a great set that adds action and realism to a scene.I don't think these figures are in bad taste,as well as adding realism they remind us whilst enjoying our hobby that a huge price was paid for our freedom, and in that way can be taken as a tribute.

Andy has given us one dead German recently, but a whole set of casualties for all sides is something I have wanted for some time.

Hi Guys,

Me again… re the requests for more dead bodies! Although dead and dying are among the slowest movers (physically speaking) we’ll try and add the occasional corpse now and then… but only in a tasteful way!

Best wishes and… happy collecting… and Happy New Year!

Thanks Andy thats good to hear. The recent Big Red 1 set featuring a fallen German is an excellant example of how well these figures work.

Cheers

Hey mate, its DD098 'Alive and dead'.Its the one with the US Infantryman carefully advancing past a fallen German.

Rob

Found it!
It's a good set. Now i have my Arnhem dio really taking shape i want to add iin some captured/injured/dead Germans. I've asked Tony to reserve DD58 Taking Prisoners. It's a really versatile set - the Bike and Commando can go with my D-Day stuff and the 2 captured Germans can be captured by Paras instead!
That dead German from "Alive and Dead" would work well too as perhaps would the captured Germans from the Russian NKVD set.

Good call on that one James,i have the set and its really good. You could do the same with DD 74 'Reach for the sky',the two man set recently retired but should still be a few around.

How about a dead or wounded tank crew
which you can put on or in the tank.
Some British Airbone casualties for my Oosterbeek dio

Harrie (the Dutch band of brothers)

I think some wounded British Paras sheltering in those ruined JG Buildings would look great.

That's a good set too Rob, "Reach for the Sky". I missed out on that one - did you manage to get a set?

James,no i had to let that one go i'm afraid:(.Cool set though, maybe that french company in London might have it if Tony hasn't?.

Rob

Too much good stuff, too little money. Story of our lives huh Rob! :)

A few wounded and dead sets would be quite nice. I have some of those set mentioned above by you guys. I still have to get the alive and dead set, and Brits taking prisoners with bike.
