This thread got me wondering. No surprise that the English speaking countries are well represented in this poll as thats what language our Treefrog forum is in. I'm sure plenty of collectors come from non English speaking nations and represent a substantial amount of business to the toy soldier industry. I'd find those percentages very interesting. Those peoples ideas and collecting habits would also be very interesting.
I've heard Andy say many times when collectors complain their particular line isn't more developed that K&C is a GLOBAL company and what sells in one place doesn't translate to the same sales elsewhere.

I have registered myself specially for the Voting. Because my englsih is very bad.......I have only read the last 5 months here.......or.......better........I musst say..........I try it!!!! ;) :D

Best wishes

Hi Rob,

why is Belgium in Italic? To highlight the country? Capital of Europe?

Home of WWI (Trench War) WWII (Battle of the Bulge) Waterloo (Napoleon) etc...

:)

It is in italics because that is country that you voted. Canada is in italics (for me) because that is where I am from.

Andy has mentioned to me that France is a very big market for them and growing. In 2006 and 2007, after the London Show, he went to a special reception in Paris for French collectors. In addition, he's just added a Korean distributor/dealer so Asia is becoming significant.

As far as I know the Paris dealer is selling a lot of Napoleontics.

And ofcourse the specials. Jeanne D'arc and the foreign legion.

Sets who I really like.

As i said in the first post,no offence intended and you are only allowed twenty options so can't possibly name all countries.

Rob

It's OK, my reply was more of a joke than anything else;).

Cheers,
Paulo

P.S.
Oh, by the way, flying the flag again..., there is at least another Portuguese member of the forum, whom I happen to know personally, it's Collectmini.

well talking about France,my favourite shop is in France too,and i buy from their shop a lot of King and country(and others too) even if i am not from France.
I like to buy from there more than from others because they have no tax,it is fast delivery and cheap postage.
VIVE LE FRANCE!!!:D

Well yes true, but than you also need to pay 20 percent of tax, don't you?
And the shipment is usualy the next 20% of value, except if you buy from treefrogtreasure for more than 250 usd (which normaly you do :D),but all other they wannt to charge you the shipment.
But yes it is big advantage pay in USD because you get more USD for 1 Euro so it is cheper for us :D:D:D

Ask to put "Commercial Sample" on the invoice.
Then you shouldn't pay tax...

Thank you,i will remmember that!
But when i was trying to order from King and Country, and i ask them if there is any posible they can make lower price or something just on the paper( i will pay to them the original price),so that the tax will be lower they say that they can not do that because of papers will not be ok for them and that their program is make in such way that this is not posible.
But i didnt think of the comercial samples-nice one!
