Did you ever lose a figure or set? I don't mean actually lose it....just have

it blend into your stuff so that you can no longer locate it! I had that

happen last night, and it drove me crazy! It all started when I went to put a

box away, I keep full boxes on pallet racking and empty boxes on a table in

my shop. I found a group of empty single figure boxes on the racking which

didn't belong there, each figure was accounted for except

BBG07 Sepp Dietrich, a wonderful figure done awhile ago. I found two empty

boxes but I only had 1 figure on display! I checked everywhere, all displays,

under displays, behind them, on the floor....it was nowhere to be found!

I had one other place to look a display table under my Conte Church, but

that is a lot of work so I put it off until today.

Suddenly it came to me this afternoon, perhaps something else had been

sent to me in a BBG07 box! That had to be it, so once again I checked my

boxed stock, and found not one but two more Sepp figures!:D Somehow my

lost figure became two more!:D

Oh well, can't beat that, I was wondering if this has happened to anyone

else?:)

John......hehehehehehe

Did you ever lose a figure or set?

I can't tell you how many times I think one was "stolen", "lost" or "vanished" and then find it later.

Okay....you're right....that's a "sign".

Maybe I should slow down.

I keep an written inventory on Microsoft Words....

for example.....

BM Series:
0-BM01
1-BM02
1-BM03
7-BM04
5-BM05
1-BM06
4-BM07
2-BM08
7-BM09
4-BM10
2-BM11
1-BM12
1-BM-14

and so on....but it is frustrating when I misplace a figure...no...it's scary.

Or forget to update your list! Wife always teases me if I discuss something that recently sold on ebay or at auction......she usually says now
where is that again?:D

I also have to be careful or she will simply select something from a shelf and
give it to me as a gift!

Those ladies can be sneaky!:D

No my wife is a doll! She always says "I don't want to know" when I try and

discuss business "deals" with her! She always kids me when I show her

and item or two of interest, thats when she will tell me not to be suprised if

it winds up in my christmas stocking at some point!:D

Ooooooooooooh................that's too funny!:D:D:D

I have one K&C green box that clearly held a set of 4 figures, but the flimsy little label with the set number came off and have no idea which set it held. Don't be so cheap with the glue Andy.:D

Terry

I find boxes of stuff I did not know I had, including IWJ014 and a Britains Christmas firetruck. I have to go to the shop and ask when did I buy it?

My storage room looks like the warehouse at the end of the Raiders of the Lost Ark -- I think I can build a two story playhouse from all the K&C boxes that I have stored.

I'll admit that I've bought the same thing twice forgetting that I already had it (not a K&C item though). I've done a couple of times. When the wife questioned me about it... I just told her I needed 2 of them because I was going to repaint one.;)

I don't buy everything my main area of interest is Arnhem, Vietnam, and some of the early items. But when I find something I like I usually buy several that way I get to pick the one I like best without driving my dealer crazy!:D

For my 50th birthday wife took me to Paris to shop at the Trocadero for waterline ships. She had discovered they had a hugh selection on an eariler visit. We rented an apartment on the Rue Greuze (with a view of "Tour Eiffel")
And I must have driven those folks crazy for the entire week!:D

Each day we would walk over and I would pick out 4 or 5 after close inspection:eek: then we would spend the day shopping or having fun with a stop at the market on the way home to make a fun dinner! The fresh markets
and french bakeries are just wonderful.

I find Paris to be a city that must be visited often, with no specific plan, you should just decide the night before what you would like to do the next day and just have fun!

Two ideas for a fun visit, 1st learn a little French, and speak it the moment you enter a shop or speak with someone. They will then happily converse with you in English once you have made an effort.

2nd be respectful in "Musee du Louvre" while waiting for the wife one afternoon I watched a man put his foot on "Winged Victory" to tie his shoe.....he was promptly escourted from the Museum!

Here is a typical shop on the Rue Mouffetard one of our favorite places to shop.

Lost figure, why never would I even dream of any such thing. Obsessive complusive, anal retentive those conditions are for beginners!!! I have well over 10,000 figures, vehicles, tanks, horsemen, etc. and I can find each and every one of them and probably in the dark. Like I said obsessive complusive, anal retentive... they are for beginners.;):):):)

Oh I don't know, something always seems to go missing on occasion. I am

still hunting for a set of Dinky#150 Military Figures that went missing a couple

of years ago when I moved to my present den! Believe it or not I remember

using them to level a shelf or showcase or something!:D Perhaps they were

insulted to be used like that (it was only temporary) and left for more

exclusive digs!:eek::)

John,
That has happened to me. The best thing about my cluttered mind is I can hide my own Easter eggs!

Nice one Mike!

I started this thread because I was so happy to find Sepp + 1!

Now I am depressed because I remembered about the Dinky Guys!:(

Oh well Snap Out Of It!..........Its the weekend:D

John, at least your not with Pete. He has a snow storm to make his weekend happy.

I like snow, especially since I have been down south since 1976!:D

But I like N.J. snow, not the 20' drifts Pete may be facing!

It nice when its just enough of an excuse to light a fire and have some

hot chocolate.

Not reach for the signal flares and look for the rescue choppers!:D:)

I also have bought doubles by accident. I have a LAH Drum Horse lost somewhere in one of my closets though:(
