Hello Martyn,

Thanks very much for posting these magnificent images of a typical British Infantry Square Formation.

I like the overhead view for a bird's eye view of the deployment of the ranks on each side.

The square was "broken" twice by the Dervish at the Battles of Abu Klea and Tamai in the Sudan.

Splendid Display !!

Cheers, Raymond.:)

Love the squares, Gentlemen! And not too small Martyn, you still need a lot of Trophy to fill it in! Pair it up with Damian's for a fight to the death!

Excellent picture Damian, I think I can spot Trophy Seaforths, Black Watch and Royal Marine from the H2H series. Are the Bengal Native Infantry from Little Legion?

Cheers

Hi Martyn,

Once again, thanks for re-posting this nice set.

There are many excellent pictures that you have posted in the Trophy threads.

I sometimes have trouble going back to look for previously posted images by not only by yourself, but others as well.

The Forum Search tool is one way to do this, but it can be tedious.

Just an example: I am looking for your picture of a small group of armed Afghan tribesman on a hillside with a veiled lady standing by them.

I think this picture is one of your best.

Cheers, Raymond.:)

Gentlemen, your squares are well formed and will not be broken.

Thanks for sharing them.

Hello Martyn,

Yes, this is exactly the picture I was looking for. This is one of my favourites.

Athough set for the Afghan War of the 19th Century, it could well be a scene in the present day conflict.

I guess the weapons would be AK-47s now, but the dress may not be much different.

Thank you very much for re-posting. Much appreciated.

Kind Regards, Raymond.:)
