Aberdeen Proving Ground Tank Museum (1 Viewer)

Over the years I have been luckly to have touched and examined all the Tigers that have been there. No matter how many pics you see of them, it really brings them to life when you are standing next to them.

I hope the Tiger I does come back. Sometimes when they leave, they leave for good.
IIRC there was another Tiger II in the '60 that ended going back to Germany at the German Gov. request. I believe that it was restored to running condition. Alas, that was many moons ago when I was just a lad myself and my facts could be wrong.

About 10 years ago, there was a Panzerjager IV at the port of Baltimore. Having access to the port at that time, I was able to actually go inside the vehicle and examine that one as the top hatches were not locked. :D

Thanks for posting these superb pictures.

Thanks for posting Dave. Great pictures:)

Considering their importance to the historical record I wish items such as this received better care. Also, when they are "restored" it would be nice to see more effort put into getting the details such as paint color/sheen/pattern accurate.

I agree, shame to see these vehicles left to the weather and rust.
