Geez, this is becoming too much of a recurring theme, another childhood guitar hero for me gone at 74. Happy Trails Space Ace.

He was great back in the day. His solo album was my favorite. Unfortunately, he apparently had a long struggle with alcohol that curtailed his career. It seems like all the icons from the 80s are passing. I read that Gene Simmons had recently passed out while driving his car and was in a crash.

Yup, luckily he was in a big SUV going about 10 and hit a parked car, did cross a lane of traffic. Apparently the cause - dehydration, go figure.

As to Ace - New York Groove and Shock Me. Awesome solo songs from that album. Side note, his album outsold every other members!

I was a huge Kiss fan back in the day. Kiss was the 1st concert I saw (1977).

Nice:

Kiss have announced a massive 50th anniversary reissue of their classic Alive! stocked with nearly 90 unreleased tracks.

The Alive! 50th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition, out November 21, features the band's 1975 live album newly remastered from the original tapes as well as two more complete and unreleased concerts from July 1975 - from Davenport, Iowa's RKO Orpheum Theater and Wildwood, New Jersey's Convention Hall - plus a rehearsal from the Iowa gig and some live recordings from a Cleveland Music Hall gig in June 1975.
