Of course there’s some Imperial Collection snaps in here as well. In some ways, I think IC is even better than SOHK – but it seems to be getting phased out.

Actually it's the opposite for me. If I hadn't been collecting SOHK, I probably wouldn't buy any US Navy. This is my collection so far. Just a couple of streets merging with a park in the middle. Eventually, some USN will fit into the scene!

I'd like to being sucked into SOHK but the money are a problem..by the way the new Sampans are really wonderful and i'll certainly buy HK177 (it's in my buying range at the moment..) and i've always admired the shoeshine set.

Yes, it did get me to buy a few items in SOHK. The sailors just fit in so nicely. But the new saipans really help make the scenes look nice. THanks for all the comments. It makes it worthwhile to know how many others enjoy the same simple things.
