Any step by strep advice anyone can offer to repair this guy? He’s a WWII German figure driving a prime mover. IMG_4630.jpegPaint loss is limited to the guy’s back but there’s cracking. Thank you in advance.

Normally I would use a new #11 X-Acto blade and slip it under the areas where the paint has lifted and remove what is delaminating, as this is a fairly new figure. The same goes for the areas that appear to be cracked. You may find that terminating your removal at the base of the collar and the back of the shoulder board will be a good place to transition. It appears that the surface of the primer was contaminated and the paint has not bonded.
Then use #400 grit sandpaper and smooth any transitional areas that are not at seams or natural changes in contour. Using good acrylic modeling paint, prime the areas you worked on and when try to match the field grey as close as you can and repaint the area. Don’t be afraid to mix a color to match. This might also be a good time to consider any other clean up or additional shading to improve the factory paint. Trust me it is easier than you might think…good luck! Ken Osen
