Alex has finished another excellent repaint for us. This time it is the Panzer 1 Tankette from the K&C LAH series redone in Afrika Korps paint.

This repaint was limited to ten tanks and each has a different turret number in case you'd like to mass them.

It can be found on our web site by clicking here (or searching under Prieto Productions). Very limited numbers of the winter kubelwagen are still available too.

Once again some very nice work Alex, this looks a real nice version of this Tank.

Very nice, but are you going to repaint the tank commander to match the olive and tan crew from the other K&C AK tanks?

Hi All,
When we started this Prieto Productions project the idea was that Alex would make his vehicle conversions without changing the figures. Often the figures are sculpted for winter or summer and changing the paint job on a bundled up for winter soldier just doesn't work.
So just think of it as a vehicle conversion with a few extra figures thrown in for good measure. A lot of the collectors who buy PP vehicles from us tend to mix their figures in their displays anyway. We polled people at the beginning and expressed concern that not changing the paint on the figures might be problematic and everyone we talked to said they didn't care at all. Hopefully those of you just beginning to add Prieto Productions conversions to your collections will feel the same way.

Any great ideas out there for the next conversion project?

PS Don't worry Ron, we've still got some Panzer 1's left for you. About that $100 that's burning a hole in your pocket...:D

Looks good. I haven't seen a ton on this, but does anyone know whether the Panzer I saw action in North Africa?

Afrika Panzer 1 - Good news for collectors

Well, hey, I was reading a post about the latest Prieto repainted Panzer 1 and it quoted the price as $150 and I thought, "That can't be right...that seems high" and I was right! It was wrong (the price not the quote)!
The actual price is supposed to be $130 and has been corrected on the website.
Customers who already purchased these tankettes at the incorrect price will be credited for the difference.
My apologies for the confusion.
Carry on...

No Ron, really it isn't a discount. It is a correction--we try to offer Alex's work at a price comparable to what you would pay direct from him minus a smidge, otherwise why buy them from Treefrog?
Commissioning his conversions makes it easier for Alex because he can make several of the same conversion at once and easier for collectors because they can buy directly from our website. Works for everyone we hope.

Cheers,
