Neil,
As you say the shipping cost would be too high. Not done mail order to UK for a couple of years but that item I would guess would be easily US$60 from here to you. Then I have the issue of it actually arriving and being intact. Would you expect a refund if it arrived damaged ?
My last item to UK was two single figures (sold out Conte 24th) and I only did so after the buyer made a ridiculous offer after me saying no. Then he says did not arrive. Then months later returned to me by sea with lots of notes on the box saying post office had tried to deliver but he had never claimed it. Simply too much risk for sellers sending overseas now.
Regarding your comment perhaps it really is in stock {sm4} On the other hand I have had retired items I removed from my web page simply because too many overseas collectors kept wanting to buy it ( planes in particular). As I said postage overseas too many problems but on the other hand would rather sell locally and perhaps create a new collector. Selling a rare plane as a one off purchase to a collector in USA/Europe is not likely to result in him buying the figures from me to go with it.
Hope that helps but as we both know the chances of you actually buying that item from me were zero{sm4}
