Just wonder if airfix 1/24 scale Hawker Typhoon would work well with K&C ?

I think it would work well with K&C figures since the figures are larger than 1/30 ( 1/28 ?) . I don't think it will display well with other K&C planes though...

The Typhoon was not unlike some USA types in its dimensions, ones that proved useful as fighter-bombers, the Hellcat and P-47 for instance. It was quite a bit larger than little many of the smaller, "sportscar looking" aircraft that everyone is so familiar with. It's wingspan was a full five feet wider than a Mk.1 Spitfire, and it was considerably longer as well. From a visual standpoint, particularly on the ground, the greatest difference between it and the Spit was the height of its undercarriage, the Typhoon standing much taller on deck. Because of these factors, I'd be concerned that the model would tend to dwarf the figures, even at 1/28. Don't get me wrong, it looks like a beautiful kit. Still, I'd think that it'd be better to stick to smaller 1/24 subjects when pairing them with KC figure sets.

It looks like a very nice kit but I'm saving my money for the 1/32 Horten 229 by Zekie Mourra ( spelling ?) coming out at end of year.

I don't think they would work well. There is just too much difference between the scales for it to look right

Even though K&C are larger than the traditional toy soldier and scale modeling scales, I think they're still too small to look right alongside a 1/24 aircraft model.

If you want to build a Tiffy to go with your figures, you might want instead to pick up the old Revell 1/32 kit, which is not a bad kit at all, and next to which the figures would look proportionately more realistic, I think.

Prost!

Neil,
I agree with what the others have said here. I have the Airfix 1/24 Stuka kit (still unassembled), but just by seeing it's parts size it's clear to realize that it is too big next to K&C figures.
