Airfix plastic kits (1 Viewer)

Thanks Simon> The Cavalry were painted when I did not know much about the paint sticking to the figure so these figures have paint flaking off. Maybe in my next lifetime I will repaint them correctly. :) John

I've got a set painted with exactly the same flakey problem, for exactly the same reason. And I'm also thinking of doing another set 'properly'. :D

Nice painting John. The 7Th Cavalry look splendid to me in particular.
Something nostalgic about them.
Don't worry about the ffl guys John. If I ever find a couple, I'll make some gunners out of them for fort Zindernorf!
Then I have to find a suitable pack howitzer with some mules!

I still have a few from the 1970s in the blister cards. The sticker price tags are $1.00 and $1.25.
The really rare one I thought was the French Legionaire.

Last one for now. The 1/32 scale soft plastic Matchbox figures which came out about the same time as the Airfix soft plastic figures. Matchbox has some good animated figures. John

What a great picture of the Matchbox boxes. The Matchbox sets were excellent - wish i still had the boxes like this.

I always left my figures unpainted as my skillz weren't up to it! :(
I agree the 7th Cavalry sets were one of the best around with amazing poses amongst them.
