Nice setup! Is that one of the BAR desert mats? I was eyeing those recently, as they looked quite good. Wanted to avoid a desert diorama with loose sand going everywhere. :)

Yes, this is BAR desert mat. It works good for a quick set up.

Canucks,

The table and chairs are a King & Country item. The map came from a Forces of Valor German prime mover halftrack set.

Glossman,

That's right. The Rommel figure is part of the Horch set.

Brad,

As far as the black background goes, I kind of came across that by accident. I was taking some pictures in my dining room with a flash one night and noticed that I could get just the diorama to show up and not the table or walls. I liked it and started doing it more. I like the way it lets you focus on the dio/models and not be distracted by what's in the background. Just my preference I guess.

Mike,

The Brits are on the way. I've got a couple of Eighth Army scenes I'm going to do tonight before I put up all of my desert stuff.

Brad,

Thanks very much.

I should have done my homework to obviate the need for the question.

There is a entire thread on the K&C Horch Set AK46.

The pictures posted by "njja" do well to show the figure of the Rommel up close.

Best, Raymond.

:)

Great dio and neat story line with it. Keep up the nice work!
