I got Nic to paint up some Battle of the Boyne stuff in matte. He is currently doing a big ECW order in matte. I will share once this comes over to New Zealand.

No Surrender! God Save the King!

Sorry old habits die hard. I was an Royal Irish Ranger - we were formed by Colonel Zachariah Tiffin for the defense of Enniskillen in 1689. I hope you have us in your Battle of the Boyne - Zachariah's Regiment of Foote.

Very nice figs.

I did a 28mm game with my figs for my club, but King Billy copped it on the first river crossing. Ulster might have been very different!

Good to see. How did you sort the Colours? (Flags to our US cousins)

At least there's a Life Guard coming over the bridge :)

Another great diorama Gary! I think there are few battles that continue to conjure up as much controversy as the "The Twelfth" does. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,
Brendan

at least we can talk about it now!

20 years ago if you were from Ulster you would think twice about even discussing it openly.

It is a fantastically interesting period of history on both sides.

Being a Murray I would have had Jacobite sympathies if born then, so might well have been for James!

As it happens when I took my daughter to Culloden I had to explain that my regiment was far off on the British (Hanoverian) third line (the 27th of Foote by then - Blakeney's Regiment) ranged against our ancestors in the Atholmen, that is, the Murray clan!

Always fancied a go at that period too, but I think we should get our WW2 stuff sorted first!

I am always amazed the English let a Dutchman land at Torbay and just march into London and pick up the crown on the way!

I would love to have produced some Ready 4 Action Williamite figures.

Are ATS 1:32?

I think I have one or two in my own collection.

If you can post some more pics.
