I added my first 2 Alexanders Toy Soldiers to my glossy Victorian Collection this week. So here is a "walk around" of

This figure retails for $12 US. In scale it is comparable to the Redcoats series of Wm. Britain.

You know I am a big fan of Alexander's these days, Randy. I like the looks of a lot the civilians in this range (I think originally available from Lancer, but since sold to ATS). There are at least 3 "couples" strolling or arguing that I am particularly interested in at the moment.....just have not dreamt up a suitable scenario to display them in........yet. Nice pick ups. :)

Randy,
Thanks for the photos. I'm looking at the art on the easel and am wondering how long it took just to paint the landscape? Very nice figures...Do you know what regiment the Sarge is from?

No I do not. There is no information on the site except that he is a sgt. Any ideas? Uniform looks generic I'd say.

He belongs to either an English or Welsh regiment. The Cardwell reforms of 1881 standardised the facing colours to blue for Royal regiments, yellow for Scottish, green for Irish and white for English and Welsh. Post 1900 the regiments gradually started reclaimimg their individual facings.
