Hi Guys

Just wondering if any one out thier has any figures from
'Alexanders toy soldiers ' in their collection.
I stumbled across some on e bay and subsequently looked up
their website http://www.ats-uk.net/ looks like a great range.
I,ve ordered a couple of sets that should be here in a couple of weeks
incl the highland dancers from this page http://www.ats-uk.net/10314/info.php?p=12&pno=0.
Has anyone seen these figures first hand ?

cheers Rob

Heard of them, but don't ever recall seeing a set the 26 times I have attended the West Coaster and Chicago shows. I have never seen them in a toy soldier store and I don't remember ever seeing a set on eBay, either. Take a photo when you get them so we can all see what they look like.

I will do ,they look like they have a diverse range of figures
baced on thier website.
I guess it all comes down to the quality.Their is currently a
few individual figures on e bay in the uk.
I thought the highland dancers was a little different so worth
taking a punt on .

Under Two Flags in London used to stock a large range of ATS figures and sets and the ones I saw there were very nicely finished indeed.

Hello,

I have about 50 or so ATS Napoleonics that I bought from Andy at Under Two Flags while I was living in London. They don't have the charm of antique figures, but I think they are very dynamic, well sculpted and painted, and quite pleasing when arrayed together. I think their artillery sets are the best.

Best wishes and enjoy your figures.

Thanks for the info guys ,it is always hard to judge these things
from website photos.
The enlargement of the pictures is never quite enough to get a
really good look if your not familiar with the product.
cheers Rob

Nice looking set of Highland Dancers. Tommy Atkins makes a very similar Highland dancer, sold with a highlander playing the fiddle.

I remember seeing a shot of your tommy atkins jacobites which looked
great [also damians ww 1 trench set ] I hope to get some in the not
to distant future ,but since imperials been back i,ve realy been focusing
on them [with the odd bump or 5 in the road ]these guys being another:eek: .

I was just reading the July issue (#110) of Toy Soldier & Model Figure magazine. The London March show report has a photo of ATS's diorama of the Dutchess of Richmond's Ball before Waterloo. Unfortunately, the flash didn't go off/or wasn't used and you can really only see three figures clearly. There is a second photo of owner Nikola Biberovic (Serbian?) and his son, Alexander, behind their display of Napoleonic figures, but it is difficult to see much detail. From what I can see, they appear to be well worth looking into.

I am starting to take the plunge into these figures, the Napoleonic Range. Just got 3 russian Pavlov Grenadiers and love them. From what I see at the website, mounted troopers and artillery sets are quite special. Flag bearers too. Figure's eyes are different and very well done, faces have individual expression! I'll try and post some photos of the Grenadiers over the weekend. There's a UK seller on E-Bay that regularly sells some. His name is toysoldierstore(49) and he is right now auctioning a pair of Pavlov Grenadiers.

Pictures of your new pieces would be most welcome:)
