Alfred, Wessex - and the Cross! (2 Viewers)

The JJD figure SX-01 King Harold Godwinson has always been (in my mind) more suited as Alfred the Great. As Alfred was so close to the Church I wanted a Monk to accompany him. I thought the CQ-02 Warrior Priest from the Conquest of America series fitted the bill nicely.

I removed the sword strapping, the armoured gauntlet from his hand and wrist, gave him some more hair and made his tonsure a little smaller. Then replaced his sword with a ‘Bone Breaker’ – with which he can deal the “Wrath of the lord” to the Heathens ^&grin Touched up the disturbed paint work and some details - all a bit of artistic licence – (as are any figures from this era……..) I think he works quite well
