Great work Robin...I love 'Dockside Scenes...and many other 'Not in Action' scenarios...They bring out the other side of War. The vast majority of the time spent in wartime is taking care of the everyday 'comings and goings'...The 'Blood'n'Guts' bit is relatively rare!

All the best to you, Andy.

Agree wholeheartedly Andy, can never have enough of 'at rest' figures. Was not happy about my model man taking the base off one of your fantastic horses, but have to admit, the horse looks the part. Got around this also by buying another two of the same horses^&grin, Robin.

Hoping Wayne in Brisbane might post some of the historic photos of the Walers coming off the ships, on this thread.

Hi Robin,
I was wondering where that horse came from..?
A really inventive touch to the display...Very well done all round!

It's Saturday morning here in HK and I am writing the next June "Dispatches" before my departure to Texas on Tuesday afternoon. Also planning a major "Beersheba" diorama with Gordon for Chicago in September. Last time we had Light Horse at Chicago was a couple of years back when we did the attack on the Turkish Train...Looking forward to this one.

Best wishes to yourself and the Missus and all our friends in Oz!
Andy.

So cool! Love the horse and the sailor figure looks great as well. Would love to create a little Tripoli port as you've done here. Excellent!

EDIT: This is as far as I got:

NOT THREAD Stealing .... but I love your dock that you are building. I was pondering something like that myself for more of an 1770's era. From the drawing and paintings that I have seen that looks like a great tie in. Looking forward to seeing the progress.

As requested..........

Appreciate you going to the trouble Wayne of finding these period photos, some of which gave me the idea to replicate this scene. Robin.
