Hey Easy,

Does the Tiger sit ok with K&C then?.

Rob

The colour is much more subdued than the K&C style but I've put K&C troops around and on it and it looks fine.

Thanks James.I'm going to buy a Honey, but i may hold off on the Tiger until i've seen the HB version.

It does concern me, if K/C is skimping on scale as the new Stuart was so much smaller than their early verson. With me, it is important that the scale is consistent from one vehicle to the next, especially if most of one's vehicles belong to a single mfg. I have not heard Andy address this issue. Of course ,the dummy down in scale allows for different mfg. models to fit in for display. I would just like to know what actual scale I am getting. Thanks, Michael

As I suggested, you should either stop by a good hobby shop, or check with a mail order house like MMD or VLS an pick up a simple scale ruler. This will allow you to check the overall dimensions of the vehicles in question for peace of mind. There are even specialty proportional scaling calculators for those that feel the need to check everything. I know I use one all of the time.
Generally speaking it looks like HB, Figarti, Mini Champs and 21st Century have been true within their own ranges as far as stated scale...and I am sure there must be others I haven't checked. Other manufacturers have been all over the board from 1/35th to 1/28th...but in all fairness some companies took some time to decide where they were really at. This has made it difficult for a collector if they wish to build a diorama, but in the past most folks did not really care as much as real scale was confined to the part of the hobby that built or converted their own models. I own some offbeat scale items that look just fine when displayed with figures that match the scale of the equipment. I was just looking at a 6pdr gun and crew made by someone and the gun in question had a 60" wheel on the prototype (real) gun. The figures in the crew really look too big to me, even if they are on bases. Remember that this can be subjective though, as the hobby is supposed to be fun...collect what you like and you will be fine.

I've got the Figarti Honey and Tiger. The Tiger especially is an amazing piece of work. Defeinitely the best tank in my collection by a long distance.

The Honey I display with my K&C 8th army figures and it looks great. It makes up for my not having the Matilda. Heh actually I sneak my FOV Matilda in there!

Eazy,

Thanks for the compliment on our Tiger, I am happy you are pleased with it.

Here are photos of side by side comparisons for Rob and Noli. Sorry I'm not the best photographer but you get the idea.

It's all your fault Brad...
Just bought 3...would that constitute a platoon? Shannon was all sold out.

Good for you Noli. I think I should get a cut of the sales. My comparison was better than a 360

There's still 3 versions of this left: a Honey version, Free French version and British European version. Come on people, what are you waiting for? This is one great tank.

I took a step back and decided not to get one. They do look a superb tank and i know i've missed out. However i am saving every penny for the 31st March as there is so much i want on the day. When you then add WW1/Arnhem/Crimean theres just not enough to go round.Shame but there you go.

As you all know we are on the lookout for any "bugs" in our new website and boy did we find one this morning!
One of the custom features of the new site is that it tracks what is retired and available in limited quantities. When the last one is sold, *poof* the page for that product disappears so you never have to hear the bad news from us later that "oops, we just sold out of that one right before you ordered."
This is an excellent feature however this morning we noticed that instead of only taking off the pages of retired items now out of stock it was instead pulling any page of any retired item as soon as anyone ordered it. Needless to say, this is not a great way to run a sale on retired items!

So if you have visited the site and were disappointed to find a retired item gone that you were interested in getting go back and take another look. It may have mysteriously returned.
Until the designers fix their flaw we are having to scan each order as it comes in for retired items that are still in stock and manually re-activate the pages. Ain't technology grand?
Pete and I will be in Manhattan and Mandi will be away as well so there is no one to mind the store Friday night to Monday morning. Pete and I will periodically access the website from the symposium and reactivate pages as necessary.
As far as bugs go this one is very annoying but at least we have a workaround for the present.
The Figarti sale is for a limited time only and we are running out of retired items daily so if you want something, get it sooner rather than later, but before we get on the plane to New York tomorrow would be the absolute best:D .
We'll do our best while away to reactivate products and maybe a miracle will occur and our illustrious web designers with the tin...er, I mean Platinum tech support will actually solve the problem before the weekend.;) Previous experience with this outfit tells me otherwise, but we'll see.
