About a month ago or so I purchased four American Civil War figures and I haven't had a chance to do much with them yet. I will probably be calling Ken and Ericka in the near future to see if they can make something for me.

At any rate, these figures are so outstanding (with no disrespect intended to the manufacturers or collectors of other American Civil War figures) that I've taken a few photos of one of them, the Standard Bearer. The striking thing about this figure is, of course, the flag. The colors and the way it furls is just outstanding.

I will try to post some more photos tonight or tomorrow of other figures.

I will be purchasing at least four more from George Guerriero at the upcoming New Jersey show in early March.

You are quite right Brad, it's a great looking model. ^&cool

It is a very attractively manufactured figure. I am sure you luv your new ACW figures as much as I do my newly acquired AWI figures - they are awe inspiring indeed.

Brad,

Thanks for posting some photos your thoughts on this figure. It’s good to see some close-ups. Currently I have three of the NC lads with two more inbound. I am collecting them in a bit of a “trickle” fashion, although I must admit I like getting a few figures at a time, where I can really appreciate them individually. It’s a great range and I am looking forward to future FL instalments, cheers … Alby

Tomorrow is my birthday, my favorite gift would be the Union cavalry {sm4}

Happy Birthday early. Hopefully we will hear something soon from FL about all their lines.

Brad: Those Confederate infantry dominate the top of the food chain in the world of toy soldiers but at $55 a piece they darn well better be. FL's quality is superb but you pay for that quality. Francisco the same will go for the dismounted Union Cavalry. Too bad Matt ditched the previously depicted troopers with Spencer Repeating Carbines and Blakeslee Boxes. I know that he was educated in the fact that combination was not present Day 1 at Gettysburg but the to be released soon 15 are top notch. Not sure if we will ever see Confederate Cavalry. I have lobbied the whole industry for more Rebel Cavalry and it seems a rarity to ever see them especially in dismounted form. But if FL does them I'll buy the whole set mounted or dismounted. And please if you do dismounted depict some troopers holding horses it makes a scene much more plausible and realistic.

Jeff,

They are pretty nice, that's for sure. Not sure when the Union are coming out. I thought they would have been out at the end of April bit apparently not.

Feliz Cumpleanos Francisco.

Thanks friend

Francisco:salute::

Nice shot, Brad these ACW and the AWI range are the best releases from FL for lately..

Hi guys ,
I don't really follow this line as closely as some of the others but I remember the release for the Union Cav was announced as Q2 2011 so maybe around June or so . I also would really like to see someone tackle Confederate Cav would be nice to see what First legion would come up with ..and Happy belated Birthday Francisco :salute::.... Regards Gebhard

Thanks for bringing this up Brad, the flagbearer really is a great figure, I don't know how long I'm going to be able to hold off getting him!
