What is the scale on these new sets? I don't live anywhere near a store to see them in person.

Their American Revolution soldiers are MUCH bigger than other lines and not compatible.

I have Conte and Britains ACW ranges and was hoping these ACW sets are in more in that scale.

The Conte SOS series is in the 60MM range and don't match their previous ones...can anyone give me some information?

I love the look of the new ACW sculpts and want to incorporate them in my diaoramas with my older Conte and Britain sets...

The New King and Country Civil War figures are in 55mm - which is like you said different from the 60mm SoS Conte and even the old K&C Civil War figures that I have in my collection.

But, I believe the new K&C Civil War will go nicely with old Conte and Britians Civil War figures - I havent done a side by side - but they look very close -IMO. :D

Hope that helps.

You might want to look at the ACW sets from Old Northwest Trading Company sold on this site. These were sculpted in the same style and scale as the new 1st Gear/ W. Britain ACW and these will go well with older Conte ACW, Ertle/W.Britain and THM sets.
Also look for additional ACW releases from 1st Gear/ W.Britain this year. I am already working on new sculpts for the first half of 2008 catalog and it will include some much needed subjects. We plan to continue sculpting in this same size (56mm) and style to help collectors flesh out existing collections, and enable them to build dioramas.

Ken - then I am right about the 55/56mm size - it looks very close for the Britians and old conte with the new K&C - right?

I haven't had a chance to put some of the new K&C ACW figures next to the newest 1Gear/W. Britain figures, but if you have measured them out at 55mm then they should work with the current ACW that I have sculpted. Can anyone else comment about the compatibility?

Can recommend the ONWTC sculpts they fit perfectly alongside Britain's and old Conte. Just posted some pics on the Conte thread Civil War Sets which have a couple of their figures on display
With the K&C new ACW I will wait to see them first before I buy, got caught on the new Conte sets and I won't do that again. However the K&C ACW personally don't wow! me as they appear very "static".
