Here are some pictures to view from the Osprey edition of ...

American Colonial Ranger...The Northern Colonies 1724-1764...

I know most you of that collect Snow Shoes or St. Francis probably have this edition...

but for those that don't...there are some pretty cool pictures with describing text and the entire book is an easy and good read...

Hi Michael,

I have the book and I love that image of the guy fast loading - really nice Osprey. Some of their older book I find to be poor in quality regarding the drawings and paintings, but this one is really nice.

Mathew...the pictures are great...but you can find so much information in the Osprey books that you can't find anywhere else...they are great publications...I only wish they were a little larger...

I bought this one in '05, 524 pages and close to 5 pounds... "A True Ranger: The Life and Many Wars of Major Robert Rogers" by Gary Stephen Zaboly.

I have a few Osprey titles, I luv 'em

Cheers

Martyn:)

I agree. One thing I have noticed over the past 20 years i have been buying Osprey books it the quality has really improved. Some of the really old volumes have color bleed, but this has not been a problem he last 10 or so years and their campaign series is very nice. I have Ticonderoga book and it is very nice.

Also if you don't have "Colonial American troops 1610- 1774 (3)," it's also worth a look. first published in 2003.
