Very well done! Awesome attention to detail such as the vege garden, ploughed field, barn and farmhouse and i love the pic of the officers meeting next to the barn and farmhouse. I think you nailed the backdrop with the misty, foggy effect.
Great diorama!
This is what I love about the hobby.....massed formations in colorful uniforms.
All makers of pre-20th century armies should provide generic marching, advancing and firing figures.
I know it gets rather expensive to have a substantial diorama like this one but if the "generics" are available for at least two to three years they can be added within a monthly budget.
many of us set up massed battle scenes in our youth with less expensive plastic figures.....great memories.h
How very creative and imaginative your work is here with this display!!! I too am anxious to know of any of the secrets you wish to share on how you did this.
Excellent work, M'Lud! Your backdrop is a great piece of trompe l'oeil work and really has some depth. I spent some time trying to discern which figures were fully round, and where the backdrop begins.
This is simply brilliant, spectacular in every way, you did a great job of laying this out, setting it up and presenting it, attention to detail is superb..........
