Last year I sold a KnC grey Opel truck and some members told it is not original and was a repaint... I was quite sure it was original since I got it from a huge collector. Well, all these Egyptians belonged to the same person, and probably had a lot more! I should have bought at least one Chariot as he had three of them and I missed the opportunity :-(
Now they display on my bookshelf ;)

Great diorama, so much going on, and :smile2:so much detail packed in a small space .
I like it

Very impressive. This is one of my core collections so it is great to see them displayed in another part of the world. Who could not like this series, Andy did it so well. Robin.

Got into this series late but mostly caught up now.
I wonder if K&C will revisit....maybe some action figures, returning with prisoners and booty.
Some additional Pyrimad builder figures....pulling large stones, water bearers and task masters.

Had a face to face with Andy several years ago about AE. He was interested in doing slaves pulling a large stone, but he has been side tracked with new series ever since. Feel eventually Andy will re-visit this series, hopefully with some or all of your good ideas. Robin.

Hi Robin,
Delighted to say K&C is paying a major return visit to our 'Ancient Egypt' series...As you say we have in the last couple of years been 'exploring' other parts of the toy soldier world, most recently of course, 'Vietnam'.
Well, the sands of 'Ancient Egypt' are beckoning us back with a whole Nile-raft full of exciting new ideas and brand-new versions of some old favourites...All will be revealed in the fullness of time...if not before!
Best wishes and may the Gods of Lower Egypt be with you...
Andy.

This is great news! I have been displaying K&C's Ancient Egypt series in dioramas for several NY schools and libraries. A great teaching tool that the students enjoy and teachers love to use along with their history lessons.

thank you...thank you.....

Andy...

that is really good news...
this is also one of my favorite series...
so peaceful...
not one raised weapon in the whole series...
I hope you stay with the "camp fire" civilian direction that you have followed to date so far...

any hints on the sculpts?

I always like the painters figures...the scaffolding figures...the slave market figures...and could definitely use more scaffolding sets...

and of course...would love some more sets of "The Dancing Girls"...

I just picked up my 3rd chariot a few weeks ago...delighted to find one as they are scarce...

I will post some pictures soon...

Hi Mike,
Many thanks for your interest...A wee bit early to give away too many secrets however what we have in mind will definitely add to and extend what we've produced in the past...All of us here in HK Head Office are excited by the possibilities...and the potential...Watch this space!
Best wishes and happy collecting,
Andy.
P.S. Always look forward to whatever pix you post...

Thank You, Thank You.
I have been trying to scoop these up and not get too beat up on ebay so I'll will gladly take some new ones.
And I also love scaffold sets, painters, stone carvers. The actual work of creating those monuments that are still with us 3500 to 5000 years later.
Maybe someone hanging up the Rosetta stone at a temple?

Chuck

Perhaps one of Napoleon’s soldiers finding the Rosetta stone; that would make a neat diorama.
