Having just watched the Man U - Arsenal, which Arsenal lost 2-1, when they were clearly the better team and having watched the goalie give up a penalty that cost them dearly and then having a close off sides call that did cost them a goal and then seeing the manager kicked off the pitch at the end of the match, well, it's enough to look for something to kick!:mad::mad:

Yo Brad, fully agree Arsenal were far the better team, thought the ref was rubbish, how on earth he never gave a penalty for the fletcher tackle on Arshavin is a crime, but in the end Arsenal gave it to United they didn't earn it.
Bernard.

I had a mixed afternoon. Good result for the Springboks but a bad result for the Natal Sharks.

I had a wonderful afternoon - I'm a ManU supporter! :p:cool:

As Jimmy Greaves used to say - Never mind it's only a game! :D

There's still time to see the error of your ways.

The penalty call on Rooney was a terrible call. Had the goalie not touched him, he wouldn't haven't gotten to it.

Wasn't it a British manager who said something to the effect that those who say it's only a game and not a matter of life and death, it's much more important than that.

Arsenal deserved more than they got out of that game, it would have been different if Robin Van Persies shot saved off the goalies leg had gone in that would have been 0-2.

Like haleys comet a penalty for the opposition at Old Trafford happens once in 75 years! ;)

i support united but agree, arsenal battered us the whole first half and deserve to win.the lack of a defensive midfielder is really affecting united. i think the eduardo diving controversy (made worse by UEFA/FIFA) meant that referees will shy away from giving arsenal penalty for these few weeks at least.
arsenal's lack of experience will stop them from winning the title.
i think it'll be chelsea.

Soccer........oops sorry "Football" i just thought who ever can buy the best players wins? That sounds like a fair sporting contest to me:rolleyes::confused:

I would have to agree with Wayne. Back in the day your local team (mine was Liverpool in the time of Dalgliesh, Keegan, Toshack and a bit earlier Tommy Smith etc) and you felt you were supporting your team. Now it is the teams with the most money buying up players from overseas.
Due to being overeseas from UK for so long the last live match I saw was the first one after the legendary manager Bill Shankly died in 1981. Was a European cup competition against a Finnish team and score was 10 - 0 (to Liverpool !!!).

Hasn't that always been the case? He who has the gold rules. It's the rule in baseball for sure.
