Hi Guys,

Just to give you a little “breather” away from “K&C Retroactive Prices” and “Over Inventoried” for a minute or two… Here are some piccies of one of American Model Dockyard’s San Pablo’s and a few steam launches… sampans… and sailors Enjoy!

Best wishes and happy sailing…
Andy C.

P.S. I’ve included a few “Bootnecks” as well.
P.P.S. “Bootnecks” is Royal Marine speak for Marines or “Leathernecks

Thank goodness for the breather. Wonderful looking ships :)

One can always count on the USN to come to the rescue.:) -- Al

This was mentioned the other day but, I could not find it priced on the K&C website. How much do these things cost??

The old diversion tactic that will confuse em;)
Nice photos though:D

Steveo,

Actually if diversion was the intent I would have put the Egyptian dancing girls
on the deck !!

Very nice picture anyway.

LOL!:D Yeah, thought that this was going to be something to appease the lack of attention that us SOHK and USN collectors have been receiving over the past year. Thought it may be a hint of the long awaited Chinese Pirate Junk.... sadly not, just a diversion from other matters. But a beautiful model nonetheless.

This is quite an impressive model! It captures the feel of the "USS San Pablo" without taking up the whole room. One of these takes a fair amount of space, but still makes a truly impressive scene. The sampans, etc really add to the feel of the scene.

Curious question for Andy - what do the Chinese think of this series? The idea of a US gunboat on a Chinese river only 70-90 years ago can't be that popular with the locals.
