I know this series never gets the attention like WW2...Crusades...Naps ..etc.....but could someone out there tell me if this series is over ......or if there are some fans like myself who would like to see it remain........thank you ......

Hey boss

the series is not over. ACN has said at Chicago (I'm being told) and via pm to me that there will be releases soon. It's a great series- 2011 is our year my friend. :)

Just curious but what type of sets would you like to see. I would like to see Egyptian archers. I also think Egyptian Nile Fisherman would be nice. Dare I speculate perhaps an Egyptian Nile boat..... one can dream....:)

The Egyptian series is very nice...but sadly it would be a little late to start collecting it now. I could still pick up those Dancing Girls..... you have to admit its a nice set. :D:).

A range is never to late to collect so long as you are not a completist, who needs to have all of a range, then you can start to collect at any stage of the series and, build a great collection
Mitch

Egyptian Nile boat would be Fantastic and fishermen....!!!!!!!.....and some of the Pharaoh's army........ there is room for a lot more monuments as well....in 1992 I spent a month in Egypt touring around .....if King and Country wants some ideas I would gladly help out ;):D:D

drag your heels too long , Helen from K&C might slap ACN around, retire the ladies and release dancing egyptian dudes!! Don't slouch- get off your duff and get em while their still available!! :p

Gentle Friends,

I, too, collect the Egyptians and, like Chris, I am told there will be new releases this year. I am especially eager to see some new figures/sets to go with those I already have. I only hope the new releases occur early in the year rather than leter.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Yes I am hanging out for some new sets, have them all so far. Some good ideas in this thread for additional sets. Some I would like to see are some figures dragging a large stone, perhaps some separate square stones and a triangle one that could rest together to form a small pyramid, slave handlers, several more different poses of soldiers (sword and archer, on horse back perhaps), market stalls and Romans. Plently of scope for this colourful and interesting series yet. This series is what started my 54mm- 60mm collecting some 5 years ago, which I now concentrate on 12 themes. (7 K&C, 3 BRITAINS, 1 JOHN JENKINS, I HERITAGE) I have set up my Zulu and Ancient Egypt side by side, at several shows and the interest from young and old is mainly directed toward the Egypt display, it seems to capture most people's imagination. I am expecting new releases shortly given most of 2010 went to WW11. Cheers, Robin.

I only rececently got interested in collecting K&C after seeing some AE's on the Internet. I would love to see some more and new releases to come out.

Only what I don't understand is why key figures - such as Cleopatra - have been discontinued? Where's the logic in that?
I only will start buying AE's once I have Cleopatra!
Until then I have to spend my money on FWs ....

That's because you have them on DVD:eek::p:D

ZZIINNGGGG!!! :D You are a very bad man putting my secrets out here like that!! :D:D

Some fantastic ideas- really like your ideas Villagehorse- perhaps camel riders rather than horseback though both would work. Always welcome more Romans. The constructions scene would be really really cool. Not so hot on the slaves though.

Regarding Cleopatra- yeah, interesting that we have what could be considered 4 pharoahs yet just one of the majestic Queen- perhaps Hatepshut some day???

Perhaps they release a new king or Queen Tutankhamen or Nefertiti, Egypt had many famous Kings and they ruled for many years so lots of possibilities.

I am all for any of these if it leads to more Romans!

Wot's this?? Another recruit for the Legion??? Get off yer duff and get to the FL section and start rattling your pilum to get those chucklheads to give us some legionaires!! :D

Really good points. The thing with Egypt is that it spanned such an immense period of time that Nefertiti would present some historical "dynastic" timeline issues.

It would havve been nice if they did an Egyptian warrior subset (say, AE 39-43) of Egyptian troops in fighting positions- collectors wouldn't just have the Barbarians but the Egyptians to throw their Romans up against. Unfortunately, the Roman line dried up so it sort of makes this a moot point.

hahahahahaha. Not an FL guy, but I would really like to see the reincarnation (Egyptian pun intended) of Andy's Romans. I do not collect the Egyptian line (I bought a few of the monuments for use with my Afrika Korp items), but I do admire the figures whenever I am at the shop.

I have only started to dabble in the Egyptian line, but I have always admired it. I would definitely love to see more in this line, and pryamid builders would be very attractive. I also love the boat idea!

I like the pyramid stone thing ......Egyptian slaves moving stones to build a pyramid.....maybe in time some enemies...Romans great idea.......Hittites...some peasant ..every day life.......:D
