Delving into TG's Ancient Greeks, here's a few shots of some beautifully designed Hoplites:

Hi All,

Hope everyone is doing well.
I recall reading a question here on the forum re. what are nicer figures of the ancients, Romans or Greeks. While they both have their attributes and now that I have a few TG Romans and Greeks; liking them both, I would have to say the Greeks.

In looking at my modest collection of TG Greeks and photographing over the weekend, I can't help but think that these figures almost have an artistic design, esp. with their ornate shields.

Here's some pictures to show them better:

You have become a master at this Rob!
The blending aspect is again done well.
Your photos rekindle my search for a trireme.
Fantastic, as usual.
Thank you all for the kind words.

Well done for reviving the interest in that era. Unfortunately TG raised our hopes on more exciting additions to this series but did not deliver. Very disappointing for collectors of this period. Greg.

Thanks for sharing and taking time to comment, Greg. Love your collection and scene. I only own a few at this time so I think you can be fortunate to have purchased many of these figures while available. With limited availability now, I'm sure that I will only be adding a few to my own collection.
While I know TG is pursuing other new themes including French Indochina and Korea, perhaps they may offer a few in the future. One never knows, esp. if the interest is out there. I had looked at K&C, First Legion, and John Jenkins finally deciding on TG. Love them, but very few to choose from at this time. Would have loved an archer or two for my ship.
In any case, I may add a few but not many more. Glad I could re-visit the theme for those of you with impressive collections.

To All: feel free to post images of your TG Ancient Greek dioramas/collections on this thread.

Fortunately makers like JJ CS and KC and other brands have been able to make up the shortfall with opposition to TG Romans and Greeks. Greg.

Terrific photo, Rob! It's impressive how many different scenes you can create using the same backdrop and figures, but each photo stands on its own.

Thanks Mark; always appreciate your nice comments.
Probably need some additional figures at this time to mix things up a bit.

Hi All,

Hope everyone is doing well. Back to Ancient Greece today. I call this one "Call to Battle":

For me, there's something about TG's Ancient Greek figures that make them very enjoyable to photograph. Paint colors to include gold and red, armor/weapon shapes, helmet plumes, battle poses, facial expressions, and artistic shields among the many reasons. Although my collection is extremely limited, these figures are some of my favorites from many different themes/eras. I call this one, Battle at the Temple. No skeleton warriors in the mix (sorry Steve). ^&grin

Thanks Emanuel. You have a good eye and yes, up to 6 ancient Greeks now. Looking forward to some future additions. I have a few avatars; just don't change them very often (always forget where to find the tool/feature). Wanted to try a whole scene to see how it would work out.

Thanks for the 'likes', guys.

Here's my latest from Sun morning to show some of the beautiful shields. Overcame with Super Bowl events. ^&grin
