I consider myself a faithful collector of the Crusader range. Doing almost anything possible to obtain a complete collection.

Just to realise that K&C issue a Chicago Hospitaller and a Crusader Tent for dealers only.

Items without reasonable possibility to obtain for me as a private collector.

I can´t express my disappointment, and i can´t see the meaning with this.

Andy! Pull youself and make everything available for all collectors. If you want to promote K&C at dinners - give people a drink. If you want to promote K&C for dealers - make their profit higher!

Do whatever you want, but make all figures available for all collectors. Indeed - i´m not happy!

Please see the following thread, http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/forum/showthread.php?39165-2012-Chicago-Show-Figure, where if you join the Collectors Club and spend $250 with K & C, you will get the figure. This is an enhancement over previous situations where only attendees at the Chicago Dinner got the figure.

I know, i know - i also know that you have to spend further money to be a member, and i know that taxes and customes with be further USD 225. Now i have almost made a total that could pay a trip to Chicago. I´m still not happy!

The last time I read the facts were as follows:

Reasonable Attainability.......

1) If you could not attend the Chicago event and receive one....

2) Join the K&C collector club and spend $250.00

3) available to all...not "just dealers"

I know it's not a perfect situation but I think Andy has made a reasonable attempt to provide collectors who couldn't make it to Chicago with the opportunity to obtain the figure, something that wasn't available until this year.

I know you can't please everyone but, I still firmly believe this was a really good thing for K&C to do and, clearly showed they were listening to collectors. The figure is still available and, its not a huge amount of money if one thinks of the current price of products.

This made a figure more available to collectors and, its a move in the right direction from a manufacturer. I like the idea of buying a collector a drink instead of giving a figure. It also restricts speculators and, thats really not a bad thing at all.

If it was a really good thing for K&C to do, why would we say in the same post to revert to buying drinks versus
Making exclusive figures available. ^&confuse.

Mitch,

Can I put a slight spin on this, how about dealers buying collectors a drink at the show......and then giving them a figure!:wink2:

Rob...

I think you may have already known the answer to that before you even asked it!!LOL

PA...

I don't see whats confusing really. The poster mentioned in his opinion that he would rather have figures available for all than some and, mentioned buying collectors at shows a drink instead. I would, and did agree, that if figures are made for only show attendees then a drink would be the best idea. More people buy products month in month out than attend shows. also, without getting into the whole debate many seem not really to be collectors who end up with these figures. Thats all I am saying on this point.

I have clearly said I think this is a great move on behalf of K&C some, have disagreed. Perhaps, even something like a copy of a drawing of one or more of the figures Andy does would be something more special for show attendee's rather than a figure. who knows?

If I lived in the US permanantly it would not bother me or, stop me from going to shows if the figures were pulled and, would still go even if you got nothing for going. I would be going for the experiences and seeing the products rather than the getting of a figure.

I like the exclusivity created by K&C when it comes to certain figures, i.e. the strictly limited editions, the club figures, dealer specials and figures that are only available at shows. I like knowing that I have a piece that not everyone else has.

You use this attending shows as some type of statement of being a collector or, thats what it seems like to me. There are plenty of shows in the UK some I have been to some I have not. I have said this many times I have not attended any of the three london shows as I have a seriously ill wife to care for and, its to far to travel and too selfish to stay away for that long in my opinion.

Now make of that what you will
Mitch

Mitch, The London shows occur twice a year. How many of those have you attended.
