Dear Andy

I have been waiting for your reply, you are now ahead I think after the limited edition Sherman, Congratulations and thanks for a great job of the tracks. :D What do you think guys?

Kevin

I really can't think of a single think to complain about anymore. All I can say is well done, Andy, and thanks!

Louis, you're just not trying.....:D I don't think there is enough desert armour and no Ariete Division yet.:D Tee hee....

I think it's a close battle between King and Country and Honour Bound in terms of tracked vehicles. I will be interested to see the HB Sherman when it eventually comes out. Although not a tracked vehicle, I look forward to the Jeep.

There are also the awesome field kitchens, do you have one? They are just brilliant.

Both K&C and Honour Bound make a terrific product, and K&C is the clear leader in the Toy Soldier catagory, but its a race for second place in the armored vehicle catagory, with Figarti presently firmly ensconced in the lead.

I don't really consider Figarti when making the comparison because they're in the 54 camp although the size doesn't seem that far off. You also probably can't say just tracked vehicles anymore (although I did so above) because it seems that these vehicles are coming with the soldiers in place (at least with K & C and Figarti) so it's now more than the tracked vehicle and in that respect K & C is the clear winner because the Figarti figures are just so awful.

As an aside, those Pegasus Paras are so bad that I will wait for the K & C ones to come out. Figarti really needs to upgrade in the figure area and upgrade quickly.

I'm still mystified about the high opinion of Figarti. They have produced a very limited number of vehicles and of those only the Tiger looks comparable to anything from KC or HB. Honour Bound is so far advanced to both that I can't see any comparison. And I agree w/Brad about the low quality of the Fig figures.

I agree with you and Brad that Figarti figures need vast improvement. However, starting with their first Chi Ha tank ($120) & working forward through the excellent Hum Vee for Iraq, the LVT2 Amtrack (which is a fantastic vehicle at only $140) and finishing with the Tiger (worth every penny), every one of their vehicles has been far superior to anything K&C or Honour Bound has done. They consistently use dozens if not hundreds of metal detail pieces to take polystone to a level or realism that none of the other producers have approached. Separate track links, hinged hatches that open and close, bogie wheels and suspension materials that are separately molded and mounted. These are all items unique to Figarti that make their vehicles the best in the toy soldier market.

For tanks, it's Figarti, then Honour Bound with King and Country still playing catch-up. Figarti figures do need some work, but the recent Japanese figs seemed ok to me. Patriot has been the big surprise with figures lately and are challenging K & C.

Aside from the Tiger, I don't see it for Figarti. I find Honour Bound to be much better here. I've got a couple of the Stuarts which are very nice and I like them very much but I just don't think they're better than HB. I would have loved to bought the Tiger but looking at those figures would just ruin it for me. If they had made a Tiger with completely removable figures, I probably would have purchased one. Unfortunately, you can't separate the two in this case as with the Honeys.

Brad ,as much as I prefer polystone vs metal vehicles, Figarti's Tiger is a fine piece and is actually more representative of the prototypical Tiger than K/C. Even the figures for this Tiger are suited for the tank and are not as crude in person as some think. Yes, most of Figarti's figures do not measure up to the standards that are now in play with Patriot, Honorbound and K/C, but I would like to stick up for this model vs any others.....Just my thoughts.Michael
