I think it's a sacrilege that they want to turn the battlefield into a mecca for tourism, although I do understand you can't tie up thousand of miles of land forever. I have also read that if you're thinking of going out to the battlefield, you need a good guide because it's very dangerous, as this article points out. I wonder how many mines are left from the Devil's Garden.
 
What a shame,very sad.I wonder if all the battlefield will disapear and will the new developement effect the museum/cemetery.However 700 people dead and thousands mutilated since the end of the war is terrible.The sacrafice the soldiers made in this battle is sacred.However i'm sure they would not want anyone else dying long after they gave their lives for our freedom.I just hope its done in a sensitive way that leaves something for rememberance.
